Complete Hiking Guide to Sanqing Mountain

When you come to Shangrao, you must visit Sanqing Mountain! Although hiking is tiring, when you stand at the summit and look at the magnificent scenery before you, all the fatigue will vanish～

🚶‍♀️Recommended itinerary:
Day 1:
📍Jinsha Cableway (Sanqing Mountain Ecotourism Area, Yushan County, Shangrao City) 👉 It is recommended to arrive before 8 AM to avoid peak crowds. The cable car ride takes about 15 minutes to reach the mountain top, saving time and effort while enjoying the beautiful aerial views!

📍Nanqingyuan Scenic Area (Core scenic area of Sanqing Mountain) 👉 Get off the cable car and you are at Nanqingyuan, where famous strange peaks like "Giant Python Emerging from the Mountain" and "Eastern Goddess" are located. Remember to prepare your camera for lots of photos📸 Suggested visit time: 2-3 hours.

📍Sunshine Coast (West Coast Scenic Area of Sanqing Mountain) 👉 A 1.5 km high-altitude plank road with a cliff on one side and a precipice on the other, thrilling and exciting! The scenery is stunning, and when the sea of clouds rolls in, it looks like a fairyland☁️

📍West Coast Scenic Area (Western part of Sanqing Mountain) 👉 Known for its danger, featuring attractions like "Immortal’s Bridge." Walking and taking photos will take about 3 hours. It is recommended to finish before 4 PM to catch the last cable car down.

Day 2:
📍Yujing Peak (Highest peak of Sanqing Mountain, elevation 1819.9 meters) 👉 An excellent spot to watch the sunrise, but be careful. Start climbing before dawn and remember to bring a flashlight🔦 and warm clothing.

📍Sanqing Palace (Core scenic area of Sanqing Mountain) 👉 A Taoist holy site founded in the Tang Dynasty, where you can feel the tranquil atmosphere of this ancient temple. The rear hall has many stone carvings worth appreciating.

📍Wanshouyuan Scenic Area (Eastern part of Sanqing Mountain) 👉 Famous for its strange pines and rocks. You can stroll, stop, and take photos. It takes about 2 hours to explore.

✅ Food on the mountain is expensive, so it is recommended to bring your own snacks and water.
✅ Local specialties at the foot of the mountain include Sanqing Cloud Mist Tea, stone ear mushrooms, bamboo shoots, etc.
✅ Be sure to try the night market snacks in Yushan County town.

1⃣ Check the weather forecast in advance; the chance to see the sea of clouds is highest after rain!
2⃣ Wear comfortable, non-slip sports shoes; mountain paths can be slippery, so be careful.
3⃣ There is a big temperature difference between morning and evening; bring a jacket.
4⃣ The last cable car is at 5:00 PM; plan your time accordingly.
5⃣ There are large crowds during holidays; try to avoid peak times.
