Yaozhou Kiln, founded in the Tang Dynasty, flourished during the Five Dynasties, reached its peak during the Northern Song Dynasty, continued during the Jin Dynasty, and finally reached the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty. This continuous production spanned over 800 years , leaving behind an invaluable ceramic cultural heritage. Excavations covering over 10,000 square meters have unearthed over 3 million artifacts and fragments, and revealed over 200 workshops and kilns .
The museum focuses on exhibiting well-preserved Tang Sancai workshops, kiln ruins and Tang and Song porcelain-making relics, which are rare in the world; it displays more than a thousand precious Yao porcelain artifacts, specimens and production tools, reflecting the grand production scale of Yaozhou Kiln and the brilliant achievements it has achieved.
