[Netherlands] Enjoy the Dutch Windmill Village

Zaanse Schans, a windmill village, is an easy 20-minute train ride from Amsterdam Central Station.

When I arrived, I was transported back in time to old Holland, surrounded by windmills and charming wooden houses in a tranquil setting.

The scenery was unlike anything I'd ever seen before, and the view of the windmills lined up along the river was particularly beautiful. I was deeply moved by the way they blended seamlessly with nature.

There are plenty of photogenic spots, and a leisurely stroll is a delight. There are also plenty of other things to do, including tours inside windmills and chocolate and cheese experiences.

I headed there around noon and returned to the city before dark.

I highly recommend it as a convenient short trip from Amsterdam. 🌿✨
