For sisters planning to visit the ancient city soon, I highly recommend my 2-day-1-night travel itinerary - it's perfectly sufficient. Sharing my personal travel experience:
✅ Ticket Policy:
Adult ticket: 118💰 (valid for 2 days)
Student: 59💰
Free admission: Seniors over 60, veterans, children under 1.4m, tour guides, journalists.
✅ Transportation🚴:
From Zaozhuang Station to West Gate of Taierzhuang Ancient City:
✔️ Direct bus B10: 5💰 (2 hours), departs at 6/7/8 AM and 3/4/5 PM daily
✔️ Taxi: about 150💰 (1+ hour)
✔️ We found a carpool at the bus station after arrival - paid 60💰 total for two people (great deal!)
✔️ Parking navigation: 【Huidiji South Gate】☑️
🏠 Accommodation:
🔶 Stay INSIDE the ancient city! Taierzhuang is huge - exhausting to explore in one day. With all-day performances, you'll miss evening shows if staying outside🤣 Plus, there's nothing else fun besides the ancient city. We chose 【Sky City Hotel】🏨 - just 100m from Huidiji ticket checkpoint. Excellent environment, highly recommended by friends, with warm service and tailored travel advice.
🔶 Must-visit spots:
🔹 Revival Tower: The landmark - can't miss it!
🔹 Bodhi Temple, Mosque, Tianhou Palace: Experience diverse religious cultures.
🔹 Cloud Bridge, Guan Yu Temple, Niushi Wang: Scenic views with rich historical stories.
🔶 Skippable spots:
🔹 Deputy Commander's Office: Mediocre, not recommended.
🔹 Shadow Puppetry: Unless you're a big fan.
🔹 Boat-shaped Street: Interesting name but underwhelming experience.
💡 Pro tips:
Check performance schedules in advance (some shows are weekly on Tuesdays) to plan your visit time.
‼️ Cars can't enter the ancient city - park outside and walk in. Choose a hotel near ticket checkpoints to avoid long walks with luggage!
