Taierzhuang Ancient City, praised by Emperor Qianlong as "The Number One Town Under Heaven"🏯
It truly blends the grandeur of the North with the gentleness of Jiangnan!
Perfect for playing with kids, but be sure to avoid this one thing❌
❌ Don’t eat inside the scenic area!
The local signature "Spicy Chicken" is everywhere on the streets. We chose the highly rated "Huajiadi Art Restaurant,"
but our high expectations turned into huge disappointment😤
The "Shandong Linyi Spicy Chicken" we had before in Jiangsu was much more flavorful!
Zaozhuang’s local spicy chicken must be excellent, but don’t try the ones inside the scenic area!
Also, the famous snack "Huanghua Beef Noodles" (as shown in picture 18)
The presentation when served, those who know will understand... even the kids shook their heads.
If you really have to eat inside the scenic area, stick to KFC🍟—you can’t go wrong!
✅ One day with kids is more than enough, night tour is a must!
The night view after the lights come on is stunningly beautiful, with small bridges and flowing water lit up, the kids’ eyes were wide open👀
✅ Three local hidden activities, missing them means missing out!
💖 Watch the Iron Flower performance: around 7 PM at Fuxing Building, kids can watch safely at Fuxing Square
Remember to ask the ticket office for the exact time; they’ll give you a map🗺️—super thoughtful
💖 Ride the rowboat: the boat ladies dressed in Hanfu sing folk songs, kids were excited and clapping all the way
Experience the water town vibe of "small bridges, flowing water, and people," perfect for photos!
💖 Stroll the city wall: take kids to climb the city wall and overlook the entire ancient city, the view is very open
You can also tell kids the history of the ancient city, a great way to learn while playing~
✅ Choosing the right accommodation makes it worry-free!
💖 For those who love lively places, choose near Fuxing Square: convenient to go anywhere, and the bar street is here too
We stayed at "City with Moonlight," which was a good experience, just a little far from the square
💖 For those who prefer quiet, choose "Sky City" hotel: peaceful environment, no noise for kids
It’s a bit remote, suitable for families wanting a good rest
✅ Parking tips:
Usually enter from the East Gate, there’s a parking lot🅿️ next to the East Gate but it’s a bit far
Locals will guide you to park in front of the ticket office, the fee is cheap and it’s close
Right by the East Gate city wall, just a few steps to enter the scenic area, super easy with kids!
✅ Parent-child friendly attractions recommended:
Yuehe Street (great for strolling, eating, and drinking), Boat-shaped Street (unique shape, kids are very curious)
Also the Zaozhuang Taizhuang Mansion Cross-Strait Art Museum area, great for photos and kids can enjoy exhibitions~
