A hidden gem of a fairytale town just 1.5 hours from Beijing! Here's a guide.

If you can't make it to the northeast or Xinjiang in winter, I highly recommend a trip to Chongli.
Taiwu Town doesn't require a ticket, and it's free to visit.
The North American-style architecture is great for skiing in winter and vacationing in summer.
It's perfect for a weekend getaway from Beijing.

🚄 High-speed rail:
Saturday: Qinghe Station to Taizicheng Station: 12:52–14:10, second class CNY 67
Sunday: Taizicheng Station to Qinghe Station: 14:52–16:08, second class CNY 59
It's about a 15-minute taxi ride from the station, which is very convenient.
🚗 Self-driving:
It's about a 2-hour drive from Beijing, which is quite convenient and close.

Attractions
1️⃣ Don't miss skiing in winter. There is the largest beginner ski area, which is suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced skiers, and extreme players.
2️⃣ The town at the foot of the mountain looks like Northern Europe when it snows, and it's great for photos. The night view is also beautiful.
3️⃣ Mid-mountain: Take the cable car up the mountain 🚠 round-trip CNY 100, divided into two sections, first to mid-mountain, then to the top. You can take photos of the "headphones" and "THAIWOO" signs at mid-mountain. It was very windy when we went, so we didn't go up. It would be very comfortable to go in summer.
