Transportation is very convenient. Travelers from other cities can fly to Zhangjiakou Ningyuan Airport or Beijing Capital Airport or Daxing Airport, and then take a high-speed train to Taizicheng Station. Travelers from Beijing can choose from high-speed trains, carpooling, buses, or self-driving.

For accommodation, the Prince Hotel, South Wing Hotel, and Genting Grand Hotel at Genting Resort Secret Garden are all great ski-in/ski-out options. I stayed at the Genting Grand Hotel, which has a lobby on the first floor, a ski hall on the second floor, and a ski resort and fast food area on the third floor. The No. 1 and No. 3 cable cars are right outside the door, which is very convenient.

After changing into my gear, I took the ski pass redemption code I received when I checked in at the hotel and collected my ski pass at a self-service machine or the ski hall front desk, and then my skiing journey began. The cable cars at the ski resort are open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm on weekends and from 8:45 am to 4:30 pm on weekdays. The No. 1, No. 22, and No. 6 cable car areas are intermediate and advanced areas, while the No. 3 and No. 5 cable car areas are beginner areas. As an intermediate skier, I enjoyed speeding down the intermediate slopes, feeling the wind whistling past my ears. The slopes here are named after various flowers, and skiing on slopes like Datura and Peony feels like being in a romantic snow garden.

There are plenty of dining options. The hotel has various restaurants and bars, and the ski hall has fast food options like KFC, Pizza Hut, and Starbucks, which can quickly replenish your energy for skiing in the afternoon.
