Escape the summer heat in Zhangjiakou at the Venice Grand Hotel

Beat the summer heat in Zhangjiakou by staying at the Venice Grand Hotel🏨, located right by the Qingshui River with fantastic surroundings.

🛁For relaxation, I chose the spa on the fifth floor for a massage💆...very soothing. Consulted a local food expert who recommended their quality dishes, so I went downstairs and picked a set meal—exquisite presentation, fresh ingredients, great value, excellent environment and service.
🍵🍵As night fell, sitting by the window, I could see several bridges over the Qingshui River. My colleague marveled at how much Zhangjiakou has changed over 20 years.
🍛🍛The breakfast at Venice Hotel was excellent—highly recommended! With limited time, I explored some nearby attractions:
1⃣️Zhangjiakou Old Railway Station: The nation's first cultural-themed dining and leisure district based on the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway heritage, spanning 380 meters. The Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway is China's first railway, featuring a century-old station site, though quite commercialized. We spent 0.5 hours here.
2⃣️Dajingmen Great Wall: Built in the first year of the Qing Dynasty's Shunzhi era, over 350 years old. The lintel bears the bold inscription "Magnificent Rivers and Mountains" written in 1927 by Gao Weiyue, then military governor of Chahar. Admission is 13.00/person. The climb isn't strenuous. Full experience takes about 1 hour.
