The "Zaxi Conference Site" is located in Zhaxi Town, Weixin County, a famous historical and cultural city in Yunnan. It was originally the site of the Jiangxi Guild Hall and the Huguang Guild Hall, with a total area of 4,686 square meters. It was built to commemorate the meeting of the Central Political Bureau held in Zhaxi Town and other places in February 1935.
In February 1935, the Central Red Army passed through Zhaxi during the Long March and established its headquarters at the Jiangxi Temple in the northeast corner of Zhaxi Town. On February 9, the Central Committee held an enlarged meeting on the temple's theater floor. This meeting has gone down in history for its significance in the history of our Party and Army. The original site has been restored, and the meeting site and the former residences of various Central Committee leaders are displayed as they were.
Not far from the Zhaxi Conference site, perched on a hill, is the Zhaxi Conference Memorial Hall. Inside, thousands of precious revolutionary relics collected over the years are displayed, along with valuable historical photos, lifelike sculptures, and detailed text. Not far from the memorial hall stands the towering Red Army Monument, surrounded by marble railings. Other revolutionary memorials within the county include Zhaxi Park and the Red Army Martyrs Cemetery.
