Taking my 86-year-old mom to see cherry blossoms in Fujian

My mom is 86 years old, and she still loves to travel. Let's go!
March is cherry blossom season, so we hurried to Zhangzhou and Longyan in Fujian to see the cherry blossoms. The mountains and fields were covered in cherry blossoms, pink like clouds and white like snow. The green of the tea gardens blended with the pink of the cherry blossoms, creating a picturesque scene. My mom forgot all about her aches and pains as she happily strolled through the sea of flowers. We even took a ride on a cute blue and pink train. "Take a picture!" We smiled brighter than the cherry blossoms. At the top of the tea garden, we sat together and drank tea. The aroma of tea filled the air, and the cherry blossoms bloomed brilliantly. I wanted to freeze this peaceful and beautiful moment forever.

• Zhangping Yongfu Taiping Cherry Blossom Tea Garden: Known as "China's most beautiful cherry blossom sanctuary," 100,000 cherry blossom trees of 42 varieties, including China Red,緋寒樱, and Yunnan cherry, bloom within the 50,000-acre tea garden. The blooming season is generally from late January to mid-March, with peak bloom from mid-to-late February to early March.

• By car: Navigate to "Yongfu Cherry Blossom Garden" or other cherry blossom viewing spots. It takes about 1.5–2 hrs to drive from Longyan city center to Yongfu Town.

• Public transport: Take the high-speed train to Longyan Station, then go to Longyan Bus Station (old station) and take a bus to Yongfu Town. Tell the driver you're going to the cherry blossom garden, and they will drop you off at the entrance.

Tickets: Tickets for Zhangping Yongfu Taiping Cherry Blossom Tea Garden are 50 yuan. You can purchase tickets in advance through the "Longzhou e-travel" mini-program.

• Fangfei Platform: The highest viewing platform in Yongfu Taiping Cherry Blossom Tea Garden. You can take photos of the entire tea garden and enjoy tea. 😃
