Spring Flower Viewing | A Hidden "Alishan" in Fujian Is a Cherry Blossom Paradise

A journey to the Taipin Sakura Garden in Yongfu Town, Zhangping, Fujian. Known as the "Alishan of Mainland China," this cherry blossom paradise is famous for its unique landscape of tea and cherry blossoms coexisting. This trip not only allowed me to appreciate the beauty of nature but also experience the unique charm of the fusion of cherry blossom and tea culture.

Inside Taipin Sakura Garden, tens of thousands of cherry blossoms bloom, boasting as many as 42 varieties, including Hikan, Yoshino, and Botan cherry blossoms, creating a sea of flowers. Rose-red and pink petals shimmer in the sunlight, complementing the emerald green tea trees, like a beautiful spring painting. Looking down from a high vantage point, the cherry blossoms resemble clouds and mist, spreading over the tea garden, making one feel like they are in a fairyland.

Yongfu Taipin Sakura Garden is located in Yongfu Town, Zhangping City, Longyan, Fujian Province, and is known as the "Most Beautiful Cherry Blossom Paradise in China." The garden is home to more than 100,000 cherry blossom trees, encompassing 42 varieties, including China Red, Fujian Mountain Cherry, and Somei Yoshino. The cherry blossoms and tea gardens complement each other, forming a unique symbiotic landscape. The best time to view the flowers is from January to March.

2. Best Time to View Flowers
Flowering period: Mid-January to mid-March. Different varieties of cherry blossoms bloom in succession. Red cherry blossoms are in full bloom from late January to early February, pink cherry blossoms bloom from late February to early March, and white cherry blossoms last until mid-to-late March.

3. Transportation Guide
By car: Approximately 2 hrs from Xiamen, approx. 3 hrs from Quanzhou. The scenic area has a parking lot with a fee of 10 CNY/car.
Public transportation: Take the high-speed train to Zhangping or Longyan, then transfer to a minibus to Yongfu Town.
