🌸 The magnolias at Zhengzhou University are probably the first to bloom in all of Zhengzhou. As expected of campus flowers, they are more vibrant than those elsewhere.

🌸 I visited Zhengzhou University the other day and was truly amazed by the magnolias. It had just rained, there were few pedestrians on the road, and almost every student passing by stopped to take a few pictures. I was lucky enough to catch the magnolias in full bloom.

Location: In front of the School of Liberal Arts, Zhengzhou University (Science Avenue)
Transportation: Subway Line 1, Zhengzhou University Science Park Station, Exit C
Route: Zhengzhou University East Gate → Turn right onto Yuxiu Road → Walk straight for 150 meters to the School of Liberal Arts
Campus: Make a reservation on the official Zhengzhou University WeChat account (main campus) and scan the code again at the entrance to enter.

✅ Go to the entrance of the School of Liberal Arts first: Magnolias at Zhengzhou University are mainly at the east gate, along Yuxiu Road and the symmetrical road. However, the ones at the School of Liberal Arts bloom the earliest and have the most flowers. The ones opposite should also be blooming this week.

✅ Honking is prohibited under the magnolia trees: The location is right at the entrance of Yuxiu Road. Campus buses will pass by, so be aware of the traffic as honking is prohibited.

✅ Drone aerial photography with forced perspective: Aerial photography allows for better composition. A bird's-eye view brings the flowers on both sides of the road into the same plane, making them appear more numerous.

✅ Magnolia blooming season: Magnolias typically bloom from February to March. The blooming period is very short, and leaves only grow after the flowers wither. Magnolia Street near the school has also entered its blooming season, so you might want to include it in your flower-viewing itinerary.

✅ Zhengzhou University's plum blossoms are also in bloom: I only found out after returning that the plum blossoms at Zhengzhou University are also very beautiful. You need to go deeper into the campus, near the "ZZU Benyuan Stadium."

❤️ Helpful Tips
1️⃣ Be sure to go to the main campus of Zhengzhou University, which is located on Science Avenue, also known as the new campus. The old campus in Zhongyuan District is the south campus, not the main campus, so it's easy to get confused.
2️⃣ The campus is generally open on weekends, and reservations are difficult. You can try entering directly on-site. Although I made a reservation, I didn't end up using it.
3️⃣ Parking is not very convenient near the school gate. Most people park near the subway station. To be safe, it's recommended to take the subway.
