Sorry, we entered Huangguoshu Waterfall with free tickets.

Guiyang has a free ticket policy for doctors, teachers, and others. The Huangguoshu Waterfall ticket costs 160 RMB per person, and the scenic area bus costs 50 RMB per person. The free ticket waives the entrance fee, but the scenic area bus ticket is mandatory. Children under 140 cm are free!

For Huangguoshu Waterfall, our special forces-style recommended time to explore is 1 day.

On the first day, arrive at noon, drop off your luggage, and in the afternoon, visit Tianxingqiao first. Walk the upper and lower sections; the upper section is more engaging with many photo-worthy strange rocks and more tour groups; the lower section is less crowded and easier to walk, featuring the Silver Chain Waterfall, which is super photogenic!

On the second day, leave early (around 7 AM), buy Anshun crispy buns, eat while walking, and enter the main waterfall area early when there are fewer people and better scenery, making it convenient for photos 📸. There is little queue to enter the Water Curtain Cave! A quick visit is expected to take about an hour and a half.

After exiting the main waterfall, there is a long scenic area specialty street where you can try yellow fruit juice and prickly pear juice, 5 RMB per cup. Then take the scenic area shuttle bus to Doupotang.

The Doupotang section is relatively gentle and friendly for all ages, forming a large semicircular route with Doupotang at the innermost part of the semicircle. This area is famous for Journey to the West; on the way out, you can see stories from Journey to the West and detailed introductions to the 81 trials.

After leaving Doupotang, take the scenic area shuttle bus back to the entrance. The bus station for returning to Anshun is nearby!
