This Retro Candy Store Takes Me Back to Childhood!

How long has it been since you last had "Pop Rocks" from your childhood? Do you still remember the joy of picking candies with just five or ten dollars at the local corner store?

Recently, my husband and I were strolling around Zhongyuan Cultural and Creative Park in Zhongli when we stumbled upon this adorable and nostalgic little shop called Taoyin Creative. Stepping inside felt like entering a time machine, with rows of old-fashioned candies neatly displayed on the shelves: bubble gum, sarsaparilla candy, colorful chocolate beans, and even the legendary "Xian Zha Pian"! I couldn’t resist grabbing a bunch, feeling like my younger self rushing to the corner store after school.

It’s not just the candies that are captivating; the shop also features creative trinkets, cute stickers, and retro toys, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. The friendly staff even shares stories about the candies, making you feel surrounded by "childhood memories."

It’s recommended to take a train to Zhongli Station, then transfer to a bus or taxi for about 10 minutes to reach Zhongyuan Cultural and Creative Park. If driving, you can park at nearby parking lots and explore the park on foot.
