
Damao Mountain is located in Dexing City, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province. It is located in the geographical center surrounded by Sanqing Mountain, Longhu Mountain, Wuyuan and Jingdezhen. It stands side by side with Sanqing Mountain in the east and west, and is another peak in the Huaiyu Mountain Range.

Shangrao City has a warm and humid climate, belonging to the subtropical humid climate. This warm climate, abundant sunshine, plentiful rainfall, and a long frost-free period allow for lush crop growth. Major weather hazards include winter snow, drought, lightning, and heavy rain.

The scenic area is divided into four scenic areas: Damao Mountain, Bijia Mountain, Sijiaoping and Shuangxi Lake, with 84 scenic resources (including 7 special scenic spots; 20 first-level scenic spots; 29 second-level scenic spots; 20 third-level scenic spots; 8 fourth-level scenic spots).
The scenic area boasts beautiful scenery, dense pine and bamboo groves, clustered waterfalls, and spectacular seas of clouds and mist. It is also home to a diverse array of wildlife, including streams, pools, waterfalls, mountains, rocks, forests, and flowers. The unique granite peaks, lush forest vegetation, and abundant water resources combine to create a unique landscape characterized by forest ecology and canyon waterscape, offering both recreational and scenic value.

Damaoshan is known for its natural beauty and cultural significance, featuring historic temples, ancient stone carvings, and rich biodiversity. It is a popular site for eco-tourism and cultural exploration in Shangrao.
Located in Shangrao, Jiangxi Province. Visitors can reach Damaoshan by taxi or local bus from the city center. Walking is feasible for nearby trails, but longer routes require transportation.
Open from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The best times to visit are spring and autumn for pleasant weather and colorful scenery.
