Old World Charm in Jianye Movietown

Jianye Movietown is a little out of the city center. I was pleasantly surprised to find this place. I definitely recommend visiting this attractive theme park. One can easily spend 6 hours here catching the various 'live' shows from acrobatics, wushu, tai chi, and action-packed dramas. Buildings are reminiscent of those at the turn of the 20th century. Numerous traditional costumes are available for rent, although the cheongsam would be more fitting, going by the theme of the park.

Address - 中牟县郑开大道与文创路交叉口南200米路东. Wenchuan Road and Baihua Street Intersection. Zhongmu County. To get to this place, take the subway and get off at the Henan Sport Center subway station (last station of line 1). Take the bus and you may have to wait quite a while. Take the cab and the drive to the Movietown is approx. 25mins' drive.

Ambiance/Facilities - Old world charm, 1930s Zhengzhou. Local foods are available inside the theme park at affordable prices. Shops that sell local fragrances, souvenirs and knick knacks are also readily available.
Highlights - Watch the 15-minute 'live' performances at various sites of the theme park, at different times of the day.
