Sheraton Zhongshan Hotel | Riverfront hotel with views of the Qijiang River

We chose Sheraton Zhongshan Hotel for our short trip to Zhongshan during the Spring Festival. The hotel is located on the riverfront and offers views of the Qijiang River. We booked a deluxe room for one night, including breakfast for two and a seafood buffet dinner! The hotel is part of the Marriott Group and is close to Qijiang Park and Zhan Garden.

The hotel offers 270° river views and is in a great location. It is close to a natural oxygen bar and has a great natural environment. You can enjoy views of the city, the Qijiang River, and the Ferris wheel, the Eye of Zhongshan. The hotel is a great choice for a short trip from the Greater Bay Area, just a one-hour drive away! Deluxe room + breakfast for two + seafood buffet dinner.

Check-in experience: We stayed at Sheraton Zhongshan Hotel for our first trip in 2025. We had morning tea and then drove from Guangzhou to Zhongshan, which took about 1 hour and 30 minutes. It was the Spring Festival, so there were not enough staff, and check-in was slow. We had to wait a while before we could check in.

Hotel facilities: The lobby, elevator hall, and public corridors are well maintained and very clean. The room facilities are a little old, as the hotel has been open for more than 20 years. The bedding is average, but there is an air purifier and a clothes sterilization cabinet. The hotel Wi-Fi signal is good, and the shower has good water pressure.

The executive lounge opens at 2:30 pm. In the afternoon, there are only a few simple pastries and some soft drinks. Happy hour is at around 5:30 pm. Breakfast and dinner buffets are on the first floor. During the Spring Festival, the dinner buffet is only available on Monday to Friday evenings and is closed on weekends. It is expected to reopen after the festival.
