Plum Blossoms: Reaching full bloom around March, red and white plum blossoms fill the Plum Garden with a delightful fragrance.
Cherry Blossoms: Single cherry blossoms typically begin blooming in early April, reaching full bloom around mid-April. Varieties like Somei Yoshino create a stunning spectacle, resembling pink clouds.
Tulips: Usually reaching peak viewing in April, tulips boast a rich variety of colors, including red, yellow, and purple, forming a beautiful flower sea near Xiao Xihu (Small West Lake).
Snowball Viburnum: Blooming around the end of March, the snowball viburnum's flowers resemble a cascade of white snow, contrasting beautifully with the surrounding greenery, creating a magical forest atmosphere.
Transportation Guide
• Subway: Take Subway Line 3 and exit at Zhongshan Park Station (Exit A or B). Exit A is a 5-minute walk from the park.
• Bus: Take bus routes 26, 31, 202, 223, etc., and get off at the Zhongshan Park stop.
• Car: Parking spaces around the park are limited. If driving, navigate to Huiquan Square Parking Lot.
Flower Viewing Routes
• Romantic Cherry Blossom Route: Enter through the park's south gate and follow the main road to Cherry Blossom Avenue. The blooming cherry blossoms on both sides of the road create a pink tunnel. You can also head towards the TV Tower and take photos of the cherry blossoms with the tower as a backdrop for a unique perspective.
• Colorful Tulip Route: Enter through the west gate or walk along Cherry Blossom Avenue to Xiao Xihu (Small West Lake). Here, you'll find a vast sea of colorful tulips surrounding the lake, resembling an overturned artist's palette.
• Hidden Gem Route: Walk towards the Plum Garden to discover a hidden world of snowball viburnum and red maple trees. The pure white snowball viburnum intertwines with the gradient red leaves of the maple trees, creating a scene reminiscent of Monet's Garden.
Photography Tips
• Timing: The light is soft and there are fewer visitors between 7:30 and 9:00 am. After 4:00 pm, the backlighting creates a natural soft-focus effect on the cherry blossoms.
• Angles: Shoot upwards with the flower branches in the foreground and the sky as the background. Crouch down and shoot upwards near the fountain to capture a scene similar to the movie *5 Centimeters Per Second*.
• Props: Bring props like books, straw bags, or small mirrors. Place them under the cherry blossom trees or in the flowers and shoot downwards to enhance the atmosphere.
Other Tips
• Dress Code: Wear light-colored clothing, such as white dresses or mint green shirts, to complement the flowers.
• Stamp Collection Activity: Collect stamps at the Oxygen Bar Cafe, Wenxin Island Cafe, and Panda Ice Cream House within the park. Redeem your stamped card for coffee at the Oxygen Bar Cafe.
• Nearby Attractions: After enjoying the flowers, visit Badaguan Scenic Area across the street to admire the begonia flowers and vintage villas. You can also take a taxi to Sanming South Road to discover a hidden cherry blossom spot in a residential area.
