
Jiuding Mountain is located between Hongbai Town, Shifang City, Deyang City, Shigu Township and Nanxin Town, Maoxian County, and borders Qingping, Mianzhu. It is located in the central part of Minshan Mountain and Longmen Mountain Range, 120 kilometers away from Chengdu City. The main peak and nine peaks of Jiuding Mountain are located in Hongbai Town, Shifang City. It is named Jiuding Mountain because the nine peaks are connected. The highest peak of Jiuding Mountain is called Lion King Peak, with an altitude of 4,989 meters.
Jiuding Mountain's unique scenery blends grasslands, snow-capped mountains, and primeval forests with natural, geological, and astronomical features such as Buddha's light, phantoms, and seas of clouds. Home to over 300 animal species and 3,000 plant species, including the giant panda, a national treasure known for its fossilized animals, and Davidia involucrata and Ginkgo biloba, renowned for their fossilized plants, the scenic area is a natural museum of geological wonders, offering both exceptional tourist value and high scientific and aesthetic value.
