Putuoshan Extreme Challenge: After Visiting 33 Temples, I Get It!

Special forces-style temple visits? No! This is the modern young person's version of "Journey to the West"—

DAY 1: Southern Area Blitz
7:00 am: Watch the sunrise at Purple Bamboo Forest, with the ocean waves illuminating the sun.
9:00 am: Refuse to Go to Guanyin Temple to feed the koi, having heard that touching fish increases your salary.
12:00 pm: Eat vegetarian noodles at the foot of the Nanhai Guanyin statue; the mushrooms are more fragrant than meat.
3:00 pm: Listen to the sound of the sea crying at Chaoyin Cave (actually, it's just waves hitting the rocks).

DAY 2: Cultivating Immortality in the Northern Area
6:00 am: Chase the sea of clouds on the Foding Mountain cable car. WeChat Moments post: "This humble palace ascended the heavenly staircase today."
10:00 am: Copy scriptures under the ancient ginkgo tree at Huiji Temple. Ginkgo leaves mixed in with the ink = extra consecration!
2:00 pm: Lie flat on Thousand Steps Beach. The sand is so fine you could use it as a face mask!

🍜Foodie Radar: Meicen Road Night Market Stalls, Hairtail Rice + Guanyin Cakes, carb lovers rejoice!
🏡Accommodation Recommendation: Xilai Putuo Hostel, temples visible from the window, Wi-Fi password is "Namo Amitabha."
