I explored Miaozi Lake entirely on foot
Stopping along the way for photos 📷
The whole route took about 3 hours
There are also shuttle buses available
They stop at photo spots
But less freedom without walking 👣
Heard it costs 88 RMB per person

I prefer strolling at my own pace

Suggest choosing accommodation with nice views

Uphill there's a viewing platform
Worth a short stop

I visited the lighthouse first
The platform has many little yellow flowers and 🌻 sunflowers
Plus adorable cats 🐈

Following the "East Pole" path

👣 The next stretch is long
But the sea breeze is delightful
There's a giant ❤️-shaped island offshore
I call it the heart of East Pole Island
Two viewpoints available
First is East Pole Pavilion
Also a sunrise photo spot
With a "Great Freedom" boulder
The second requires slightly more climbing
But personally loved it

Heading down was my return route
Passing by more photo spots

L O V E ↖ (the railing even has a rose bouquet 🌹 so heartwarming)

There's an artificial back beach
Not much to do there
Not worth buying tickets

Walking around the whole island is too long
Didn't go further up
Passed by the Xiamu Drink Shop from first night
Couldn't resist visiting again
