Zhuhai Chimelong Ocean Kingdom - Marine Animals

On May 26-27, I took my children to Zhuhai Chimelong Ocean Kingdom for fun. The first day was Friday, and there were relatively not so many people, so we experienced various rides first; on the second day, we mainly visited the venues and animal performances, including the four major halls: Dolphin Hall, Penguin Hall, Beluga Hall, and Sea Lion Hall.

Dolphin Theater
The Dolphin Theatre can accommodate nearly 6,000 spectators, and there were about 4,000 people watching our show. When the official performance music sounded, before we could react, five or six baby dolphins appeared quickly like swords drawn from their sheaths. The visual effect was shocking, and the audience immediately burst into applause as soon as they reacted. The dolphins' performances are lively and cute. They do various movements under the guidance of the trainers. After each performance, they run to their trainers to ask for food rewards like children asking for candy. They are so cute and naive.

Penguin House
The baby penguins are much more relaxed. They gather together, standing, lying, swimming, or playing. They lead a very leisurely life. There are many types of penguins here. You can see lively Adélie penguins and emperor penguins that are as tall as five or six-year-old children. The penguin's belly is fat, full and shiny. It seems that its movements are slow and clumsy, but it moves agilely after entering the water, and it shuttles through the water like lightning. The beluga whale dives into the water very deep, which is visually shocking. With such a huge body, it can display flexible movements in the water.

Sea Lion Theater
The first sea lion was very large and interacted with the audience. He first competed in blowing a big trumpet. His lung capacity was large enough that he could blow for dozens of seconds. When the human girl came on stage, she couldn't even blow the trumpet, which caused laughter at the scene. Then he competed with a young man in sit-ups. The host played a trick on him. The sea lion did three and then slipped away, leaving the young man alone to perform more than twenty sit-ups. He was really exhausted! The baby sea lions put on a wonderful performance, spinning, leaping, playing with hula hoops, singing, and they were good at everything. Lastly, the largest sea lion appeared, estimated to weigh 500 kilograms. It jumped out of the water to head the ball with its agile figure and quick movements, winning applause from the audience.

In addition to these lovely marine animals, there are many different kinds of fish in the ocean in the park. They are rich and brightly colored. It is the first time I feel that the colors of nature are so colorful. There is a jellyfish research institute in the whale shark hall, which makes it even more interesting. There is a whole wall full of jellyfish, which are gorgeous under the colorful lights!

The experience of Zhuhai Chimelong Ocean Kingdom is very good. It is recommended that children who are less than 1 meter tall can wait a little longer before coming to play. If you are not tall enough, you cannot play many amusement rides. The park is so big that you can’t explore it all in one day, so two days is just right, so find some time to experience it!
