Zhuhai Hengqin Hotel is just perfect

Just got back from Zhuhai, and I have to recommend the Chimelong Hengqin Bay Hotel that made my whole family have a blast! The ocean theme + kid-friendly combo is really amazing, even someone like me who hates waiting in line was happy to come back for a second time 😆

• Hidden perk: unlimited park entry and exit during your stay, we even slipped away to see the whale shark exhibit during the kids' nap time with no crowds
• Shuttle boat with a grand vibe: daily 5:30 PM Venice-style gondola ride, just minutes to the park dock
🐬 Hotel is an attraction itself
1. Dolphin pool morning exercise: exclusive feeding show from 7:30-8:30 AM (100 times better than the crowded park experience)
2. Flamingo Island photo op: pink backdrop + tropical plants, perfect for photos in a white dress
3. Water park bonus: room includes water activity tickets, kids played non-stop in the artificial wave pool and lazy river
4. Secret viewing spot: ocean-view room balcony faces the fireworks show, no need to squeeze in the park as a human tripod

• Room surprises: our nautical-themed room had bunk beds + toy box, even a child potty seat was provided

1. Room choice secret: be sure to request “high floor south wing” for side ocean + park views (30% cheaper than direct ocean view!)
2. Hidden perk: collect flash cards at the front desk to exchange for limited edition puzzles, we got 3 sets 😂
3. Off-peak water fun: outdoor pool is basically private after 2 PM, bring your room robe to save changing time
4. Foodie tip: must order scallion oil abalone at the Chinese restaurant, better deal than buffet a la carte

• New night cruise: take the 7:30 PM Macau island tour from Hengqin dock, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge light show is amazing
• Artsy bonus: 8-minute drive to Xingledu Camping Town, trendy non-powered facilities perfect for Instagram-style family photos
• Seafood lovers must go: Hengqin Oyster Eco Park for fresh catch and eat, garlic steamed + cheese baked combo highly recommended
⚠️ Notes
• Fireworks rooms are in high demand! Book 2 months in advance for peak season, and choose cancellable rooms even in off-season
• Last shuttle boat at 8:30 PM, for fireworks it’s better to take a car back (runs every 5 minutes)
• Bring plenty of sunscreen! There’s little shade at the water park and Ocean Kingdom
