Wow everyone~ I have to say, this trip was unplanned but exceeded all expectations! Today, we are taking you to explore an amazing ancient town not far from Shanghai—Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, also known as the 'Venice of Shanghai.'
First impression:
Stepping in feels like being transported back to ancient China! Rows of old wooden houses line the classic canals, with arched stone bridges just like in the old Chinese movies we watched as kids. The vibe is absolutely stunning.
Must-do activities:
• Take a boat ride along the canal. It's amazing~ Every angle is picture-perfect, even without filters.
• Stroll around and check out the shops, handmade crafts, and cozy little cafes.
• The street food is incredible! Especially the stuffed buns with juicy meat and the fried snacks that are just too good to resist.
• There are many hidden spots perfect for taking aesthetic IG photos.
Pro Tips:
• Going in the morning is the best. It's less crowded, giving you a peaceful, period-drama-like experience.
• Wear earth-tone clothes to match the town's mood.
• Carry some cash, as some shops don't accept QR payments (shocking, right?).
In short:
If you come to Shanghai and don't visit Zhujiajiao, you're missing out big time! The ancient feel, aesthetic vibes, and amazing food are all here. Perfect for photo enthusiasts, cafe lovers, and culture seekers. Make sure to pin this spot!
