The best time to view the red leaves at Tanxi Mountain, with the plank road crossing through fiery autumn colors​

Recently, as temperatures have dropped and autumn has deepened, Tanxi Mountain Tourist Resort has welcomed its annual cliffside red leaf spectacle. Tree species such as smoke trees and maples in the scenic area have gradually donned their "red attire," with over 80% of the leaves having changed color, officially entering the prime viewing period. From a bird’s-eye view, the blazing red leaves contrast with the steep red cliffs, creating a magnificent scene of "half-mountain cliffs, half-mountain red," attracting many visitors to climb and enjoy the autumn scenery.

Due to the recent large temperature differences between day and night and clear weather, the saturation of the red leaves has reached its peak, especially at core attractions like the cliff plank road, glass bridge, and the middle tourist line, where the intertwining of red leaves, steep peaks, and sea of clouds is particularly stunning. The current best viewing period is expected to last until mid-November. Visitors can take sightseeing buses directly to the best viewing spots at the mountain top or hike the canyon trails to experience the visual feast of red leaves up close.
