Transportation: From Guiyang East Station to Zunyi South Station, the travel time is only 40 minutes, and it takes just 20 minutes to reach the West Entrance of Wujiang Village, making it very convenient.
Accommodation: There are several hotels and guesthouses within Wujiang Village, all managed uniformly by the scenic area. On this trip, I chose Building 2 of Mushan Hotel and Huilongwan Hotel. The staff at Building 2 of Mushan Hotel were very friendly, but the room environment was somewhat disappointing. However, there is a wide range of other hotel options within the village, all within budget and reliable, so no worries about unpleasant surprises.
Activities: No need to stick to any specific guide; Wujiang Village is not large, so you can stroll freely and explore at your own pace. There are many vacant houses full of charm, worth savoring slowly. If you bring children, you can also experience activities like Tongzi clay whistles, Tongcao straw paintings, Wu paper workshop, rocking boats, and kayaking. If you are a guest staying in Wujiang Village, you can also enjoy swimming in the infinity pool at Miao King Hotel.
Performances: If you are interested in performances, you can follow Wujiang Village services to get the schedule of shows. Highly recommended are:
1. Multiple intangible cultural heritage single bamboo raft performances (held in the Langqiao water area).
2. Shadow Puppet Adventure (performed on the ancient stage at Huilongwan).
3. Lantern Parade (at the Terraced Field Square, visitors can join the parade after the lantern lighting ceremony).
4. Ten Thousand People Jumping Night & Fire Pot Show (performed at Huilongwan Square, very spectacular!).
5. Drone fireworks show + music water dance performance.
Food: The food in Wujiang Village is diverse and never repetitive, including street snacks and many restaurants. Ingredients are fresh, prices are slightly higher than outside but still acceptable.
Overall, Wujiang Village is a charming place, with its unique ethnic customs, rich activities, and performances that make visitors reluctant to leave.
