Originally, we decided to go to Shaolin Temple, Longmen Grottoes, Luoyang, Xi'an, Huashan, Shijiazhuang, and finally Beijing. Later, my friend advised me not to go to Beijing, firstly, non-local cars in Beijing could not enter at all, and secondly, it was more convenient to go to Beijing for high-speed rail, so we changed the route: Dengfeng--- Luoyang--- Xi'an--- Hanzhong---- Chengdu--- Jiuzhaigou--- Chengdu--- Yichang--- Ma'anshan. The whole journey is about 4,800 kilometers (Jiuzhaigou is with a travel agency car, because Jiuzhaigou does not sell tickets to individual passengers now, so you can only follow the travel agency). At 4:30 a.m. on April 29, we set off from Ma'anshan, there are two roads to go, considering that the highway in the direction of Chaohu is often blocked, or decided to go to Dengfeng from Nanjing to Chuzhou, because it was the first day of the May Day holiday, or blocked in front of Chuzhou for an hour, not bad, at noon we had dinner in the Luohe service area, and happened to meet the staff of Beijing Hyundai Luohe 4S store in the service area to do volunteer service, I gave my car a free inspection and sent a drawing paper, etc., thank them very much. Shaolin Temple is located at the foot of Songshan Mountain, the scale is not very large, you can play the attractions in one day, Shaolin Temple and Tallinn, Sanhuangzhai joint ticket 100 yuan, if you don't want to climb the mountain, you can do a ropeway, Sanhuangzhai Scenic Area has two roads to go up the mountain, from the gate of Shaolin Temple, you can go to Sanhuangzhai through Tallinn, you can also go up the mountain from the back mountain of Shaoshi Mountain, there is a section of the mountain road in the back mountain is very steep and tiring to climb, but you can see more scenery, whether it is from the front mountain or the back mountain, the plank road is the only way, walking on the plank road, The surrounding scenery is still beautiful. If time permits, you can watch the performance of Shaolin Temple, I personally think it is average, we happened to pass by and watched it by the way. In the afternoon, we set off from Dengfeng and arrived in Luoyang at more than 4 o'clock in the afternoon, in China-TravelNote's 7-day chain hotel Lijing store, the hotel door is under construction in the subway, a little difficult to find, but the hotel has a large free parking lot, the hotel is very clean, the bath water is also very large, the air conditioning is very powerful, mainly it is on the side of Lijing Gate and Heaven Ming Hall, the location is very good. Lijingmen is a commercial street in Luoyang, and there are many delicious foods in it.
In the evening, we went to Luoyang Sui and Tang City National Heritage Park (Heaven, Ming Tang Scenic Area), Heaven and Ming Hall are important places for Empress Wu Zetian to govern, worship Buddha and live, and are the core area of the capital that has been used by the Tang Dynasty, the Five Dynasties and the Northern Song Dynasty for more than 500 years.The furnishings inside are magnificent, and the performances are also very presentable, which is an important place to understand Wu Zetian's era. After a night of rest, at half past six in the morning, we drove to the Longmen Grottoes, the Longmen Grottoes are on the edge of Luoyang, about 8 kilometers, it has two gates, one is the east gate across the bridge, the other is the southwest gate, after we originally drove to the east gate, some locals came over and told us that it is more convenient to go directly to the southwest gate, and spent 30 yuan to bring us to the southwest gate, which is the original gate, because the place is small, so a larger parking lot and gate were built in the east, and the southwest gate does not have to cross the Yi River. Go directly to the foot of the grotto. We went early, so there were very few people in the attraction, so that we could take a closer look at the panoramic view of the Lushena Buddha, after about half past 9 o'clock, there were already crowds of people inside, and then I learned that on May Day, there were actually 10,000 people, and when there were many people, we were already leaving.
We continue to move forward, from Luoyang to Xi'an, we take the Lianhuo Expressway, this road has heard from a friend, it is difficult to walk, but it is not difficult to walk, But this road is full of large transport vehicles, and it is really not easy for my son to drive down the whole process, which also exercises his driving skills.
After passing Tongguan, we entered the boundary of Shaanxi, the road was a little better than Henan, about 5 hours of driving, we finally arrived in Xi'an, found the hotel booked in advance, took a short rest, and went to Huimin Street. Huimin Street is a more famous commercial street in Xi'an, where Hui people gather, there are many local famous snacks, but things are more expensive, you can try. There are many such snack bars in Xi'an, and they all taste good.
On the morning of May 2, we slowly visited the Muslim Street, the Drum Tower and the Bell Tower, had lunch at noon, and in the afternoon we went to the Xi'an City Tower, rented a bicycle to tour the Xi'an City Tower, and it took about an hour and a half to go around the city.
May 3: In the morning, we got up early, drove about 20 kilometers to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Scenic Area of Qin Shi Huang, and worked with a tour guide to listen to him explain the history, excavations and some interesting stories about the Terracotta Warriors and Horses along the way.
In the afternoon, I went to the Shaanxi History Museum, which is also a very famous museum in our country, and the number of people is limited every day, so it is also overcrowded. I only hastily looked at the cultural relics in the collection, and next time I go to see it carefully.
May 4: Due to the Xi'an restriction, I only left before 7 a.m. that day, passed through 103 tunnels, crossed the Qinling Mountains, and headed towards Sichuan, the tunnels along the way, the longest tunnel is about ten kilometers, that is, driving in the tunnel for a long time feels so depressing, not to mention the hardships of mining, through this self-driving trip, I really sigh at the strength of the motherland, if there are no these highways and bridges and tunnels connecting the highways, then how can we have the conditions to drive! Praise for our motherland! After passing the Qinling Mountains, we walked to Hanzhong, which was the main battlefield of the Three Kingdoms period, and my son happened to be a fan of the Three Kingdoms, so we temporarily decided to stop in Hanzhong.

But this time, due to time constraints, we visited his main attractions in one day and saw a group of monkeys. Mount Emei can be climbed by yourself, or it can be used as a tourist bus to take you to different pick-up points. Most of them go to Leidongping and then make a cable car to go to Jinding, and then take the cable car back to Leidongping, walk down the mountain or make a tourist bus down the mountain, we make a tourist bus to Wuxiangang Station, and then hike up the mountain to visit the ecological monkey area after visiting, and then return to the gate of Emei Mountain. May 8-10: Go to Jiuzhaigou to play, Jiuzhaigou experienced an earthquake last year, only opened to the public on March 8 this year, Jiuzhaigou has always been a place I yearn for, this time it coincides with his opening to the public, this opening only sells 2,000 tickets a day, and only to travel agencies, not individual travelers, so I booked a ticket a month ago. Along the way, we went to Yingxiu, visited the earthquake site of Xuankou Middle School, went to the ancient Qiang village in China, appreciated the Qiang stilt building, saw the beautiful Diexi Haizi, and went to the ancient city of Songpan, the place where Princess Wencheng made peace.
Jiuzhaigou is located in Jiuzhaigou County, Aba Prefecture, where the forests are dense, the pools and shoals are colorful, and the crystal stream flows between the forest and the shallows. Coupled with Tibetan villages, prayer flags and the unique traditional customs of Tibetans and Qiang, Jiuzhaigou is known as a beautiful fairy tale world.
However, last year's earthquake brought irreparable losses to Jiuzhaigou, the most beautiful scenery of the past - Nuorilang Waterfall and many classics no longer exist, the plank road was also crushed by the earthquake rocks, and many staff were repairing the damaged roads and basic facilities of the scenic spot, so in the past 3 years, everyone should not go, hoping that nature can repair his trauma and let him welcome more tourists with more beautiful scenery.

Although this trip was very hard, it allowed my son and I to enjoy the great rivers and mountains of the motherland and increase our knowledge, and experience the meaning of reading thousands of books and traveling thousands of miles, which is really beneficial! Although the trip is over, the beautiful scenery along the way and the bits and pieces of getting along with my son have turned into memories that will be forever treasured in my mind and become my best memories!
