After arriving, I took a car to Simian Mountain in Jiangjin , and also lost a pair of shoes in Simian Mountain, fell, and finally put on a slipper and returned to the main city of Chongqing . The route we chose was to go to Chengdu first, stay for one night, then take a bus to the foot of Mount Emei, and then go to the hiking point to go up the mountain, and start hiking up the mountain at about two o'clock in the afternoon.

We have no experience in this kind of long-distance hiking and climbing, so the equipment is as follows:

I remember that the time to go to Mount Emei was from September 2 to 6, 2014, after get off work on the 2nd, I directly carried my bag to Chengdu to take the bullet train to Chongqing North Railway Station, and stayed in Chengdu in a youth inn converted from a residential suite. We chatted together, mainly listening to him tell stories about his past awesome things, he was an outdoor person and often led teams to Tibetan areas.
When we learned that the purpose of our trip was to climb Mount Emei, we showed a contemptuous expression, and the level was not in the same gear, so the three of us were also very self-aware, and we left after not chatting for a long time. There were other friends in the bedroom, and the three of us decided to stay in the living room at that time, 20 yuan a bunk.

Before going to bed, we took out the pig's trotters we bought at Chongqing North Railway Station and nibbled on beer, one for each of the three of us, in order to climb the mountain in the next few days without hurting our muscles and bones, and eat where to make up for it!

The next day, that is, early in the morning of the 3rd, I went to Chengdu New South Gate Passenger Station and bought the earliest ticket to Mount Emei that day. After getting off the bus, many owners of Emei Mountain farmhouses kept asking if they wanted to stay, and because we had planned the hiking route in advance, they all refused every boss who came to talk to and sell the accommodation.
At that time, it was planned to enter the mountain from Fuhu Temple, not to Baoguo Temple, but to take a hiking trail up the mountain. So after getting out of the car, I followed the plan and combined with the strategy I found on the Internet, and started to shake my legs step by step. Insert a thought: I think I will still go to Baoguo Temple to find an opportunity in the future. After all, it is so famous. There are also many people who come here to cool off and play, and everyone is very leisurely. Their yard is very large, and they eat and stay, and play mahjong. After the wind swept the clouds, we went to the stream to play for a while and began our official trip up the mountain.
My memory is a little confused now, and I don't remember whether to eat first or see the "First Mountain Pavilion" and "Xiujia Tianxia" waterfalls first, as well as the red stone carvings next to them.
When Mr. Z was looking for a guide on the Internet, a friend mentioned in his travelogue that he would meet a small shop opened by a disabled person on the way into the mountain, and there was a stone monument not far away, with the inscription "First Aurora" to find this stone monument, and it was right to climb the ladder without looking back, that is, the road up the mountain.

After the selection, we walked a short distance to the first Aurora stele mentioned in the guide. What is Aurora? It is the meaning of hope when the sun rises in the east. He was not familiar with Emei due to his profession, and he usually led the group to the Golden Peak, but he took a car to Leidongping, and then ropeway directly to the Golden Peak, and before that, he had never hiked up the mountain, and he wrote that travelogue mainly to record all the changes brought to him after the hike.
For the invitation of his friend to hike Emei, he refused the invitation at first, and I can't remember what led him to finally agree to go on this trip to Emei with his friends.

In the previous article, we mentioned the items we prepared, in fact, for a very mature scenic spot like Emei, there are supply points everywhere, so you don't have to worry about water and food at all. It's just that the interval between supply points in the off-season will be slightly farther than in the peak season, which is completely acceptable.

the first is to take the hiking route from Baoguo Temple into the mountain, pass through Leiyin Temple, Chunyang Hall, Shengshui Pavilion to Qingyin Pavilion, and then take 99 turns to Xianfeng Temple and Yuxian Temple, pass through Xixiang Pool, Leidongping and then climb to the Golden Peak (called Line A), 58 kilometers;
The second is to hike from Baoguo Temple, through Leiyin Temple, Chunyang Hall, Holy Water Pavilion to Qingyin Pavilion, and then take another road through Bailong Cave, Wannian Temple, Huayan Peak, through the Xixiang Pool, Leidongping and then climb the Golden Peak (called Line B) seems to be 42 kilometers, I really don't remember the specific mileage, you can check it on Baidu;
If you are not physically fit, you can skip the hike before Qingyin Pavilion, take a sightseeing bus directly to Wuxian Gang and get off, walk to Qingyin Pavilion, the distance is not far, it seems to be less than 2 kilometers, and then start hiking up the mountain;
The third route is to take a car directly from Baoguo Temple to Leidongping (about 2H+), and then walk to the Golden Peak, which is generally an hour and a half to 2 hours to arrive, or choose to go directly to the Golden Peak, there is a road to walk before taking the ropeway, this road has a monkey brother, about half an hour, not far away, if you really don't want to walk, then find another way.
The hiking distance of Emei Qianshan Line A, the whole journey is marked on the Internet as 58 kilometers, we walked down the APP (Gu Dong) showed that it was 61 kilometers, I don't know how the extra kilometers came out, this is just a reference.
Mount Emei is divided into several parts, low mountain section, middle mountain section and high mountain section, the starting point starts from zero kilometers, and everyone can arrange the distance reasonably according to their physical strength. Whether to choose the whole hike, half on foot, or by sightseeing car, this is arbitrary. 5A scenic spots, service facilities are first-class.
Now high-speed rail, bullet trains, planes, buses are also very convenient, we remember when we went there in 14 years, there was no intercity train, could not go directly to the foot of Mount Emei, so transfer to the bus, now from Chongqing can be direct and convenient.

Because I am heavy and have a lot of things in my backpack, Mr. Z also put beer in my backpack and a camera. There is an ancient cave behind the temple, legend has it that the Xuanyuan Yellow Emperor once met the Nine Emperors Immortals here, so the ancient cave is also called the Nine Elders Cave, originally we planned to live here, I remember that the time to walk to Xianfeng Temple was about five o'clock in the afternoon, after inquiring with the locals, I learned that the Yuxian Temple is not far from here, almost 2 hours+ away can be reached, and we can arrive at about 8 o'clock in the evening, so we temporarily decided to stay at the Yuxian Temple.
