Chinese Buddhism has four famous mountains: Jiuhua Mountain in Anhui, Wutai Mountain in Shanxi, Putuo Mountain in Zhejiang, and Mount Emei in Sichuan, which are the ashrams of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, Manjushri Bodhisattva, Guanyin Bodhisattva, and Puxian Bodhisattva. 1, introduction
Mount Emei, a mysterious holy place for worshiping Buddha. Mount Emei is located near the mysterious 30° north latitude and is located in the southwest of Sichuan Province. Since ancient times, it has been known as "the universal sage, the eldest son of the Buddha, the one of Emei, and the leader of the mountain". Mount Emei is extremely rich in natural heritage, known as the natural "plant kingdom", "animal paradise" and "geological museum". The cultural heritage is extremely profound, it is a sacred place of Chinese Buddhism, known as the "Buddha Kingdom Paradise", and is the dojo of the Bodhisattva. With its "majestic, beautiful, divine, strange and spiritual" natural landscape and profound Buddhist culture, it has been included in the UNESCO "World Cultural and Natural Heritage List".
Mount Emei, known as the "Buddha Paradise", one of the four famous mountains of Buddhism, and the Puxian Bodhisattva Ashram, covering an area of 154 square kilometers. It is mainly composed of four peaks: Da'e Mountain, Er'e Mountain, San'e Mountain, and Si'e Mountain, and the highest peak is the Ten Thousand Buddha Peak at an altitude of 3,099 meters. People usually say that the Emei Mountain Scenic Area is just Da'e Mountain.
The scenic area of Mount Emei is divided into three areas: low mountainous areas, middle mountain areas and high mountainous areas. The area below Qingyin Pavilion is a low mountainous area, the Qingyin Pavilion to the Xixiang Pond is the Zhongshan District, and the area above the Xixiang Pond is the high mountain area. There are four official road entrances: Baoguo Temple, Wuxiangang, Wannian and Zero Kilometer, of which Baoguo Temple, Wuxiangang and Wannian are trails, and Zero Kilometer is the lane. The welcome square at the foot of the mountain is a tourism distribution center, and the passenger station, food street, Emei Cultural Center, etc. are all within this range.
2 Line analysis
There are three routes to climb Mount Emei and the Golden Peak, the first one is from Baoguo Temple into the mountain, to Qingyin Pavilion and take 99 turns, that is, the southern line, through the Xixiang Pool and then to the Golden Peak; The second one is still starting from Baoguo Temple, going to Qingyin Pavilion and taking Huayan Peak, that is, the northern line, and finally passing through the Golden Peak on the Xiang Pond. The third route is to take the car directly to Leidongping, and after climbing the Golden Peak, you can choose to hike 99 turns down the mountain.
Considering the large number of steps, in order to save physical fitness and mountain climbing time, those who take the 99 turning route can take an environmental protection car from the passenger transport center to Wuxian Gang and go directly to Qingyin Pavilion; If you take the Huayan Peak line, you can take an environmentally friendly car directly to Wannian Station, and then go directly to Huayan Peak from Wannian Temple.
From the perspective of scenic spots, 99 turns are better; From the perspective of labor-saving, Huayan Peak is better. The Huayan Top line is short, the steps are relatively gentle, and the 99 turns are long and there are many steps.
Everyone chooses the mountaineering route according to their own interests and physical fitness, but from the perspective of catching the bus at the Baoguo Temple Passenger Transport Center, it is most reasonable to turn 99 and go down to the top of Huayan. This guide itinerary is to enter Baoguo Temple, turn 99, take Huayan Peak when going down the mountain, take a sightseeing bus after Wannian Temple, and rush to the Baoguo Temple Passenger Transport Center. If you don't catch the last shuttle bus back to Chengdu, you can also choose the high-speed rail line.

4 Emei Mountain Ecological Monkey Area
Play guide: The ecological monkey area is located near the "first line of sky" under Hongchun Ping and on Qingyin Pavilion, and is the largest wild monkey area in China. Under the leadership of the Monkey King, the monkeys here are very domineering, afraid of people at all, take the initiative to find people to play, and carry sticks to ask for food on the road, which is a living landscape of Mount Emei.

The monkeys in Daping and Hongchunping have not changed their wildness and are quite domineering in the "green forest", and often do some "cutting path" activities to tourists in dangerous places such as Biandan Rock and Ninety-Nine Road Turns; The monkeys of Huayan Temple and Yuxian Temple, such as "everyone's ladies", live in seclusion and treat people politely; the monkeys in Xianfeng Temple and Jiulao Cave are "mountain hermits", who often play and have fun by the springs in the forest and do not interfere with tourists; Only the monkeys in the area of the Xixiang Pond often enter and exit the hall freely, are not surprised when they see people, and have fun with them, but they are afraid of the "Buddha's Dharma" and do not dare to steal food and offer fruits, but they are rewarded by laymen and tourists a lot, and they enjoy all their blessings.
When watching monkeys, you must pay attention to a few points:

5 Hongchunping

6 99 turns
Travel guide: One of the three famous steep slopes on Mount Emei, legend has it that the steepest, longest and most dangerous section of the back mountain is the steepest. The series of steep slopes in the Z shape now makes me feel like a big head!

11 Thunder Cave Ping
Leidongping is a transit station on the Golden Peak, and the cars coming up from the bottom of the mountain can only drive here at most, and then either hike or go forward for a while to the Golden Peak on the ropeway to the Guidance Hall, and there are a large number of monkeys from Leidongping to the Guidance Hall.

12 The reception hall
