This is an overview of the scenic area on June 4, 2021.
From our hotel, walk along the road to the new visitor center (it is said that the old visitor center has been converted into a parking lot).
The picture below shows the empty parking lot (security check is here). From here, take the elevator up four floors to the visitor center lobby.

Go through the hall and you will come to the second-floor platform shown in the picture below.
Go straight from the second-floor platform and take the escalator to the place shown in the picture below.
Go up and take the shuttle bus
We set off by bus at 8:50, and our destination was Zhaguanbeng (the farthest point the shuttle bus could reach, and the rest of the way there was only accessible by foot or horseback). The road was winding and rugged, with the highest point reaching nearly 4,300 meters above sea level. Some people couldn't stand it and started taking oxygen!

This is the place to view Xiannairi Peak ("Xiannairi" means: Guanyin Bodhisattva).
A special reminder: if you take the road from Chonggu Temple to Pearl Lake, you must pass through Chonggu Temple. Another way is to go through Chonggu Grassland. From here, we’ll have to decide whether to take the short route (walk to Pearl Lake) or the long route (take the shuttle bus to Luorong Cattle Farm, then walk or pay for a horseback ride). We decided to do the short route first so we wouldn’t have too much energy to do the short route after the long one.
Arrived at Pearl Sea at 12:45, the weather started to deteriorate and it began to drizzle.
Suddenly, a hole appeared in the sky!
It gradually expanded until the entire Xiannairi Peak was exposed!
It was gone in a flash! About a minute.
Could it be that the Bodhisattva was telling her, “It’s going to rain heavily! Hurry up!”?
At 1:10 PM, the rain got heavier, so we had to leave.
Back at Chonggu Grassland at 1:50 PM, it was already raining heavily! We went to the visitor center to take shelter, hoping the rain would stop soon. On the way back, we met a cleaning lady who told us it had rained the previous day, but it only rained for 40 minutes before clearing up (we later learned that this rain was the heaviest in three months). After lunch, we waited for a while, but the rain showed no sign of letting up, and the temperature was getting lower and lower. The staff had already started to persuade tourists who wanted to go on long-distance tours to turn back (the shuttle bus to Luolong Niuchang was no longer selling tickets)! The tourists gradually dispersed.

Back at the hotel, I found a restaurant and had some mushroom hot pot chicken soup, a dish often found in western Sichuan, to warm myself up.
To summarize:
1. If altitude sickness isn't too severe, you can complete both routes in a day, though the degree of altitude sickness will vary.
2. Be sure to pack warm clothes and rain gear; you'll need them at all times.
3. The rest depends on what the weather has in store for you!
We obeyed God's will this time and visited half of the scenic area. Is this the Bodhisattva asking us to come again!

Tomorrow, we will return as planned and go to Tagong Grassland via Xinduqiao.
By the way, we passed by the White Pagoda in Daocheng on the way here, but I saw it was under repair, so I didn't go.
