D2 Lanzhou-Linxia Liujiaxia Reservoir, Huangtao Junction, Bingling Temple Grottoes

Linxia, named for its proximity to the Daxia River, was an important town in the southern part of the ancient Silk Road, also known as Hezhou in ancient times, and was an important guard against Tubo in the Tang Dynasty. The ancient Hezhou wine I drank last night was produced here.

Departing from Lanzhou early in the morning, we arrived at the intersection of the Yellow River and the Tao River in the morning.

In the afternoon, head to Bingling Temple Grottoes. Take a speedboat upstream along the Yellow River at Liujiaxia Reservoir, and the stone forests on both sides are quite spectacular.

Bingling Temple Grottoes, located on the west side of Dasigou in Jishi Mountain, about 40 kilometers southwest of Yongjing County, Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, were excavated in the early years of the Western Jin Dynasty (about the 3rd century AD) on the cliff of Dasigou on the north bank of the Yellow River, and were officially established in the first year of Western Qin Jianhong (420), with four floors. D3 Linxia-Langmu Temple Gahai, Gerdi Temple, Namo Grand Canyon

The north bank of the creek is Langmu Temple, and the south bank belongs to Ruoerge County, Sichuan. Two Tibetan Buddhist Gelug temples, "Anda Dacanglang Mu Temple (also called Saichi Monastery)" in Gansu and "Gerdi Temple" in Sichuan, are across the "river" here.

Gerdi Temple at the entrance to the Grand Canyon of Namor is said to be the only monastery where you can see the body of the living Buddha, and the temple enshrines the body of the fifth Gelden living Buddha. The Fifth Living Buddha was born in 1681 and died in 1775 at the age of 74. It is said that the real body has not been embalmed, and the muscles are still elastic after more than two hundred years, and the nails and hair have shown a magical growth state in the past, and the eminent monks in the temple have to cut their hair, but unfortunately during the Cultural Revolution, the Tibetans buried it in the grassland for 18 years in order to protect the living Buddha spirit, and although it did not rot after being dug up again, the hair and nails no longer grew. The light in the hall is dim and not clear, so the interpreter used a flashlight to show us. The physical body is enshrined in the spiritual pagoda, and the face is lifelike and the color is amazing. Early in the morning, we bid farewell to Tangke and went to the Huanglong Scenic Area, and we gradually came from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau to the edge of the Sichuan Basin. At noon, I passed by Chuanzhusi Town for lunch and started to eat Sichuan cuisine, and the first dish of garlic white meat was very appetizing.

Enter the Huanglong Scenic Area in the afternoon, the cable car has a limited role, and the scenery depends on the legs. Hiking, hiking, hiking again, walking 26,000 steps throughout the day today (not on the plains).
