It's another brisk autumn, and this time I'm taking Mom on an autumn journey across the vast expanse of China. China boasts a wealth of stunning mountains and rivers, and Mom and Dad love the picturesque landscapes of our country. Earlier this year, we took Mom and Dad to see the breathtaking Zhangjiajie Peaks. Now, we're headed to Jiuzhaigou, Mom's favorite paradise on earth. I was incredibly lucky to get a special airfare and a special offer on the Howard Johnson Jiuzhaigou Tianyuan Resort, and that's how my eight-day Sichuan tour officially began~

Another trip to Sichuan. This time I was very lucky and got a special air ticket in seconds. I made an appointment to be picked up at the airport early in the morning. The early flight Sichuan Airlines 3U6838 was from Tianjin Binhai at 6:55 to Chengdu Tianfu at 9:50. After landing in Chengdu at 10 o'clock, we took the subway to Wenshu Temple for lunch. We had delicious Dongzikou Zhang Lao Er Liangfen and Long Chao Shou.
Then head to Chengdu East Station and take the D168 train from Chengdu East to Langzhong at 13:39 (Chengdu East) at 16:03.

After exiting the station, we took a taxi for ten minutes to reach Langzhong Ancient Town. After checking in, it was unfortunately raining all the time. I happened to be tired from traveling early in the morning, so my mother and I rested in the B&B. It was quite pleasant to just look out the window quietly. The rain was a little lighter around dinner time, so my mom and I went out to find something to eat.

Another important thing to do in Langzhong is of course to eat delicious food. For dinner, we had the famous Guokui with Liangfen and Sichuan cold noodles.
I had pot stickers from Langzhong's unique "Famous Restaurant".
There is also one of Langzhong’s most distinctive Maojiaxiang time-honored beef noodles.

It rained all day and all night. This morning, the rain finally stopped, so I went out for a walk to appreciate the quiet Langzhong Ancient Town in the early morning.

Arrived at Chengdu East Station at 12:19, took the subway to Xipu Station, and transferred to the light rail to prepare to go to Dujiangyan✌
There were a lot of tickets, so I booked it directly to see if I could catch the S5031 from Xipu at 13:40 to Dujiangyan at 14:05. However, if you check in at Guanxian Ancient City first, it is recommended to buy a ticket to Lidui Park Station. After arriving at Dujiangyan, I took a taxi to the ancient city and checked into the Starway Hotel. Since I had been traveling for two consecutive days, my mom was resting after checking in, so I took a taxi to the Panda Valley to see the cute cats. Hehehe,

For dinner, I had the super delicious Beijie Rice Noodles. My mom and I had a bowl of beef rice noodles and a bowl of pork rib rice noodles.
After dinner, I strolled to the bridge to admire the blue tears at night. What a beautiful sight👍
I got up early on Monday and went to Yangtianwo Square to check in and take selfies with the giant pandas.

Before the morning rush hour, I took a taxi to the front of Qingcheng Mountain. Upon arrival, I took a sightseeing bus (round-trip ticket recommended) to the mountain gate. As the road was slippery, I bought a bamboo pole at the gate to prepare for the climb.
After entering the mountain gate, walk to Yuecheng Lake. If the boat is running, you can take a boat to the cable car station for 5 yuan/person, or walk around Yuecheng Lake, which is not too far.
Arrive at the cable car station and take the cable car up the mountain. Then there is a section of the mountain road.
Hike to the top of Shangqing Palace and then to Laojun Pavilion (walking in an S-shaped pattern saves effort, about 30 minutes).
Then hike down the mountain. You can check in at Tianshi Cave and other filming locations of Journey to the West.
Finally, exit the mountain gate and take the sightseeing bus back.

It was still a bowl of beef rice noodles, a bowl of pork ribs rice noodles and a portion of dried tofu, and the taste was pretty good.
After eating the rice noodles, I went to buy a soy milk bun and a Qingming vegetable bun from "Grandma Ye's Soy Milk Bun".
After a satisfying meal, I walked out of the ancient city and just bought a cup of Dujiangyan specialty fruit tea, pomegranate and dragon fruit from "Yingguochu". Then take a taxi to the entrance and exit of Qinyan Tower in Dujiangyan Scenic Area.
Recommended tour route: Qinyan Tower - Erwang Temple - Anlan Cable Bridge - Yuzui - Feishayan - Baopingkou - South Bridge.
Qinyan Tower is the highest point in the scenic area. After enjoying the full view, the entire route is downhill, and you will visit other iconic attractions in turn.
After a break, we went out to dinner at Leshan Xianzhiwei Bobo Chicken. Since we couldn't arrange a trip to Leshan on this trip, we took my mom to eat at the most famous Bobo Chicken restaurant in Chengdu. We chose the skewers ourselves and poured the sauce on them. My mom and I ordered one with Sichuan peppercorns and one with red oil, as well as a tofu bun. They were so delicious.
After a satisfying meal, a refreshing breeze, and a subway ride back to the hotel, a pleasant day concluded. ✌
Day 4 (Tuesday, October 22): Sanxingdui + Chengdu Museum + Luodai Ancient Town: The highlight of the day was the Sanxingdui Museum in Guanghan, a museum whose awakening after thousands of years of slumber has astonished the world. To get in right before it opened, we took the 7:17 Chengdu East train to D1902 and then the 7:41 Guanghan North train. From there, we took a taxi for about 15 minutes to the Sanxingdui Museum. Although we arrived early, there was still a line, but we were able to enter quickly upon opening. If you're among the first group to enter the museum, we recommend you go to the second floor and explore in reverse order, starting with the bronze sacred tree at the exit of Area 3, Heaven, Earth, Man, and Gods.
Then return to the first floor to visit exhibition areas 1 and 2. It is still recommended to enter from the exit, and then visit exhibits such as the golden mask, golden scepter, and bronze standing figure in turn.
The reverse tour can help you avoid the first batch of tourists. If you are lucky, many of the second batch of tourists may not have entered the exhibition area by the time you arrive. Overall, you can appreciate the exhibits in peace and quiet.
Finally, we went to the cultural and creative store to take some small cultural and creative things as souvenirs, and the tour of Sanxingdui was over✌

In between meals, I took the time to check out the "Liu Zhou Ji" promotional wall at the nearby Yulin Four Lane Love Corner✌
After eating and drinking, I rode a bicycle and strolled along Yulin Road. During the period, I passed by the Yulin Food Market and the tavern in Zhao Lei's song, but the tavern was not open at noon, so I'll leave something to look forward to next time I come to Chengdu.
Finally arrived at Shen Tang Sweet Water, and took my mother to taste the authentic Chengdu Sweet Water, it is simply not too delicious😋
After eating, we continued to ride back to the hotel. Since I got up early today, my mother had a rest in the afternoon and I continued traveling alone. In the afternoon, I checked in to the Chengdu Museum and Luodai Ancient Town.
First, it takes less than ten minutes to ride from the hotel to the Chengdu Museum. It is quite shocking to visit the exhibits in the museum. The exterior design of the Chengdu Museum is very excellent and has a sense of design.
Take the subway to Xihe Station and take a taxi to Luodai Ancient Town. The Wufeng Building and Blog Building in Luodai Ancient Town also have a red wall with Luodai written on it, which is very suitable for taking pictures. You can also feel the charm of Big Fish and Begonia in Chengdu✌
Return to the original route and return to the hotel. The pleasant day is over. Next is the highlight of this trip: Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong in Aba Prefecture✌
Today is a day where I wake up naturally at 7 o'clock. I tidy up and go to the dining area for breakfast. After breakfast, I ride to the Sichuan Museum for a tour. The Sichuan Museum is next to Huanhua Stream. I can just pass by the Qingyang Community Food Market when I cycle from the hotel.
To check in on the way, I don’t have time to arrange the experience of the three major comprehensive vegetable markets in Chengdu (Yulin Comprehensive Vegetable Market, Qingyang Community Comprehensive Market, and Fuqin Vegetable Market) in this trip. I will regret it and look forward to the next time in Chengdu.
After admiring the Sichuan Expo exhibits, I cycled back to the hotel to pick up my mother for some snacks and check out. Then I went to Chengdu East Railway Station and took the C5752 departing from Chengdu East at 11:46

Because I booked the Tianyuan Howard Johnson Resort Hotel, the package included two nights’ stay, two days breakfast and pick-up station, so I went straight to the parking lot. After checking in, I took a quick rest and went out to look for food at five o'clock. I walked along the river in Zhangzha Village and the temperature was very comfortable. I found the Jiuzhaigou Eagle Group Music Tibetan Dining Bar. I bought a set meal in advance and the boss showed me the coupon code and waited for the meal to begin. The set meal included beef quilt, monk buns, tsampa, cold cordyceps flowers and a pot of butter tea, basically including Tibetan snacks,

After eating, we strolled back to the hotel and rested directly, preparing for our trip to Jiuzhaigou tomorrow morning.
I made a guide in advance. The official door opens at 7:30, but it usually opens a little earlier in the peak season, so I got up today and went to have breakfast on time at 6 o'clock. After eating, I went straight out to take a taxi (the fare was about 30 yuan, don't worry about online taxis, black cars and online taxis are all the same price) to the entrance of the scenic spot. I arrived at the entrance at about 6:40 and queued up at the entrance, but you felt that you were very early, but there was always someone earlier than you, but it was good that at least you could see the main gate of the scenic spot,
During the queuing process, you need to be careful about people with low quality jumping in the queue, especially when the door opens, you should be careful not to be jumped in the queue. The recommended tour route is to go to Wuhuahai first, and sit on the left side to view the scenery (①. Do not take the shuttle bus to Shuzhengzhai Station. The way to distinguish whether the shuttle bus is accepted or not is to see whether there is a sign on the front of the bus that says "Shuttle Bus or Shuzhengzhai". ② After avoiding the shuttle bus, there is the bus to the highest point, but it is not sure whether it is on the left or right, so no matter whether the guide or the driver asks whether there are tourists who enter the ditch a second time, We must firmly tell her "I want to go to Wuhuahai", so that no matter whether the car takes the right ditch this time, they can help us dispatch to Wuhuahai. If the car is originally the right ditch, stress it again and get off at Wuhuahai. If it is dispatched to the left ditch, follow the instructor or driver's instructions to get off. After getting off the car, just ask the dispatcher "Where should I go to Wuhuahai in the right ditch to wait for the bus?" and say it again after getting on the bus. Get off at Wuhuahai. No matter what others say, if you want to visit from the top, you must firmly believe in Wuhuahai (get off at Wuhuahai). Because most of the first batch of tourists who came in did not do any guide, they went directly to the highest point, so at this time we can sit in the entire uninhabited Wuhuahai. Go up the bridge on the right, stand on the bridge and admire the Wuhua Sea on the left and the Kongque River on the right, then return to the original route and cross the road to take the bus. ② Walk less: After ①, stand on the bridge and enjoy the scenery, continue to the right and walk along the Kongque River Plank Road, and then take the bus on the opposite side of the road. ③ After getting off, go downstairs and take a long tour around the Wuhua Sea and Kongque River Plank Road, about 1.4 kilometers and 45 minutes].
Because we were afraid of being exhausted at first, we chose to visit Wuhuahai without walking. After visiting Wuhuahai, we took a bus to the downstream bus station for about two minutes to Pearl Beach. We got off the bus and walked along the surface of Pearl Beach, and then continued down the stairs to admire the waterfall from the side and walk to the foot of the waterfall to enjoy the Pearl Beach Waterfall.
After visiting Pearl Beach Waterfall, just follow the road signs to Jinghai parking lot and take a car for about one minute to Jinghai station and get off to visit Jinghai (Jinghai needs to pay attention to the fact that it is only available before 9:30-10:00 or after 16:00) When there is no wind, you can see the beautiful reflection of the calm sea. If you are not in this time period, it is recommended to go by car and take the bus directly to Nuorilang Central Station). Since we didn’t walk the whole distance of Wuhuahai, we grabbed time and took pictures of the beautiful reflection.
After taking pictures at Jinghai, take a bus to Nuorilang Central Station. Follow the road signs to visit Nuorilang Sea and Nuorilang Waterfall.
You need to pay attention to walking slowly at Nuorilang Waterfall, as there are still many steps.
After the tour, return to Nuorilang Center Station and take a bus to the Zuogou Changhai direction. Take the left side of the bus to enjoy the seasonal seas up and down along the way, and visit Changhai at the highest point (get off the car and go down the stairs on the right, take the "One-Armed Old Man Cypress Observation Deck", and then walk right down to the lowest plank road closest to the lake for a tour, about 1.4KM). Changhai is called the mother sea of Jiuzhaigou and is the highest sea in Jiuzhaigou.
Then follow the road signs and walk about 800 meters to Wucai Pond (Wucai Pond is the smallest lake in Jiuzhaigou, but the most colorful one).
After the tour, take the bus (sit on the right side to watch the upper and lower seasons sea) and return to the Nuorilang Center Transfer Station️. At noon, you can have a simple lunch in Nuorilang. After eating, take the bus in the direction of the primeval forest and get off at Jianzhuhai. Follow the road signs to visit Jianzhuhai - Jianzhuhai Waterfall - Panda Sea - Pandahai Waterfall, and then take the bus back to Nuorilang Central Station️.
After returning, continue to Nuorilang Center Station and take the bus to Rhinoceros Sea. You can walk one kilometer in the opposite direction during the Colorful Forest Season to enjoy the colorful forests. You can enjoy the dreamy reflections of the snow-capped mountains at the Rhinoceros Sea Observation Deck.

Then Shuzheng Waterfall-Shuzheng Mill-Shuzheng Village (it is recommended to go to the high viewing platform behind Shuzheng Village to see the Shuzheng Sea. It will be tiring to climb up, but there are fewer tourists at the high place, and the scenery is truly amazing),
There are many travel photography shops in Shuzheng Village. How can you not take a group of Tibetan style photos when you go to Jiuzhaigou? I found one and took a group of Tibetan style Bo La groups. Haizi really made a great photo and was happy✌
After taking photos, you can continue to visit Wolong Sea and Sparks Sea (from Shuzhengzhai to Wolong Sea to Sparks Sea, it is recommended to go to the observation deck on the inside of Haizi away from the road. Sparks Sea needs a sunny day to show the sparkle jump in Haizi from 4 to 5 p.m. (If the time is wrong or the weather is wrong, it is recommended to take a car directly from Shuzhengzhai and leave the scenic spot). After taking the photo, it was cloudy and the sun was not very bright, and my mother was a little tired from playing, so she took the car directly out of the scenic spot.
When I left the scenic area, there was a cultural and creative store that bought Jiuzhaigou special refrigerator magnets. Hey, when I took a taxi with Didi, I almost couldn’t get a taxi. The number of rental vehicles in Jiuzhaigou is also fixed, so when I caught up with the large groups at 5 or 6 o’clock, almost all of them left the scenic area at this time, so I could stop one. Check out if there are any black cars passing by. Negotiate a price of about 30 yuan. It is recommended to take the black car directly back to the hotel. We took the black car to the hotel and ate yak hot pot and yak yogurt directly at Duomi Music Tibetan Restaurant next to the hotel.
After eating and drinking, we returned to the hotel to rest, and the happy day ended successfully. I have to say that when you come back from Jiuzhaigou, you don’t have to look at the water. The king of water scenery is well-deserved. I can only say that my wife is so beautiful👍
As the high-speed train is scheduled to return to Chengdu at 3:30 pm today, the itinerary arranged in the morning is a four-hour tour of Huanglong Scenic Area. Considering that the transportation is not very convenient, we chartered a car in advance to pick us up at the hotel in the morning, took us to Huanglong and waited for us to finish our tour before sending it to the high-speed rail station. The journey from Jiuzhaigou to Huanglong takes about two hours. I was afraid of traffic jams, so I still got up early and planned to leave at 7 o'clock. When I arrived at Huanglong Scenic Area at about 9:30, I could ask the driver to take me to the cableway entrance and queue up directly. There were not too many people queuing up at the cableway entrance around 9:30, and it took almost half an hour to get on the cableway.
The ropeway will reach the top very quickly. After getting down, you can take the sightseeing bus (the sightseeing bus is limited every day. It is recommended to grab the tickets according to the time a few days in advance. Because the Huanglong Scenic Area itself is at a high altitude, if you don’t get the sightseeing bus for the five-minute journey, you will need to walk for at least half an hour, which is very energy-consuming and easy to get high).
After getting off the sightseeing bus and walking up the calcified beach for a short distance, you will find the Huanglong Ancient Temple. The most amazing thing about the Huanglong Ancient Temple is that the words displayed on the sign are different if you look left, right, and straight up👍
The steps next to the ancient temple are the stairs that go up to the highest point to view the Wucai Pond in the primary school Chinese textbook. The stairs on the left are closer to the Wucai Pond, and the stairs on the right overlook the Wucai Pond from a high place. You can experience it all. The scenery is still very beautiful, as if you are in a fairyland. After coming down from Wucaichi, follow the road signs all the way down the steps,
You can visit the Zhengyan Pool, Salo Yingcai Pool, Mirror Reflection Pool, Bonsai Pool, Waterfall, and Welcome Pool in sequence,
It took almost two hours to go down the steps, and I took a photo when I left the gate of the scenic area,
The whole journey took more than four and a half hours. We left the scenic spot on time and met the driver at the high-speed rail station at around two o'clock. We arrived at Huanglong Jiuzhai Station by half an hour's drive. The C5754 train departed on time at 15:31 and returned to Chengdu. We arrived at Chengdu East Station at 17:54 and took the subway to Chunxi Road Meihao Hotel to check in. After putting away our luggage, we simply packed up and went to "Old Alley Yuan Hotpot" for a delicious meal of authentic Chengdu old hotpot.
The set meal is very suitable, the taste is absolutely delicious, it is recommended, eat and drink, go back to the hotel to rest, the wonderful journey is about to end!
On the last day of the trip, I didn’t get up too early. I slept until after eight o’clock, got up, packed up, and went out to buy breakfast. I originally planned to go to Xiyue City Tan Douhua,
Unfortunately, there were too many people on the weekend, so I went to Wangji Guokui and bought a beef Guokui and a pork Guokui. The authentic Chengdu Guokui surveillance is my favorite hehe.
After breakfast, check out and take the subway, then take a taxi to Huanglongxi Ancient Town. The ancient town is very quiet and pleasant, and it is leisurely and relaxing to wander around aimlessly and enjoy the breeze.
At about one or two in the afternoon, we ate dandan noodles and sugar-oiled fruits in the ancient town,
I returned to the visitor center to pick up my luggage, then took a taxi to the subway station and took the subway to Shuangliu Airport. It took off on time at four o'clock. Another pleasant trip to Sichuan has ended successfully. I look forward to seeing you next time!
In the peak season, you can visit Jiuzhaigou, the king of water views that my mother is most looking forward to.
