At the highest point of Goji Island, you can see the mountains, reefs, beaches, clouds, sky and sea. You can also watch the sunset. The key is that it is free.

The taxi drove up the mountain and went straight to the observation deck, and you didn't have to walk almost a step.

There is a temple built next to the scenic spot. When you enter, you can see a protruding hill. It is a commanding height with a wide view and a panoramic view of the whole picture of the blending of mountains and sea.

I don’t know if it was because the weather was bad or because it was too easy to get here, or maybe because I had seen similar scenery on Longzhugang in Taimu Mountain, but I didn’t feel much excitement.

As usual, I flew a drone. The bright colors were refreshing. Nearby, there were blue and white buildings, and in the distance, greenery covered the mountains. Fishing boats were looming against the azure sea and sky.

While we were concentrating on taking pictures, a monk from the temple came over and showed us how to correctly capture the shape of the distant mountain ridge, which resembled a turtle.

Drones are so common here. From the uncle sweeping the floor to the monk practicing Taoism, everyone has experience in shooting positions.

The sky was filled with brilliant clouds that day, but it was a pity that we had to leave. While packing my luggage at the hotel, I couldn't help imagining how magnificent the mountain and sea wonders must have been at that moment.

This is the perfect place to watch the sunset. It's absolutely stunning! Go up the hill and continue through a path lined with greenery until you reach a large fort. There's an open area just below the fort, and the view is even better than from the observation deck. Don't forget to check it out! I also recommend the yellow walls on the other side of the temple; they're great for photos! And, they don't charge admission, which is fantastic!

Following the winding mountain road, we arrived at the "Mountain and Sea Wonders," one of the "Ten Scenic Spots of Shengsi." At first, because of the Guanyin Temple nearby, I thought it was another temple to the sea god where islanders and fishermen prayed for good weather. Later, reading the inscription under the stone tablet, I learned that this place was once the site of an inspiring historical event. I've always remembered the name Hou Jigao! A hero who fought against the Japanese invaders, a legend of the struggle—just like this natural sacred stone, used as a monument to record this story, it's both a piece of history and a beautiful sight. What a wonderful sight!

It is beautiful to watch the sunset with the sea breeze. The only drawback is that the sunset is not below sea level.

It’s about one or two kilometers from Dawang Village, and it takes less than half an hour to climb.

After eating, we prepared to go to Shanhai Wonders or Sea Ranch to watch the sunset. We just picked a place at random and went directly to Shanhai Wonders. It was not as beautiful as described, but the scenery on the way from Dawang Village to Shanhai Wonders was really good!

Shanhai Wonders is a great place to see the seawater ranch. It's free and perfect for taking photos. The scenery is beautiful. A small, uninhabited village shrouded in greenery, with green plants and creepers crawling all over the houses. It's like The Wizard of Oz, but! There's a fee to enter the village (including the viewing platform) for 50 yuan per person. The view from the viewing platform is 20 yuan per person if you don't enter the village. The landlord gave us some tips: 1. July and August are the best times to go, which are also peak season. May and June are also good, but a little cool at night.

A great place to watch the sunset! The tricycle driver who took us to the mountain and sea wonders took us to a great spot for photos. That’s why I got the photo above of me eating fried chicken and rice porridge!

The Mountain and Sea Wonders Scenic Spot is very small, just a big rock overlooking the fishing village and mussel farm below.

Honestly, you don't have to visit the Mountain and Sea Wonders Scenic Spot. There's not much to see—a strange rock formation, a garden, and a temple. You can overlook part of Goji Island, though. I heard that during peak season, during good weather, you can even take photos of the stars at night.

The road on the mountain has been opened. The ancient fort is too fake (cement cannon). There are some graves on the mountain that are a bit unsightly. There are fishing nets at the foot of the mountain (dead fish, garbage, floating oil, hope to improve)

Climbing to the top of the monument offers a breathtaking panoramic view of mountains, reefs, beaches, clouds, sky, and sea, a truly refreshing experience.



The walk from Dawang Village to the Shanhai Wonderland takes about 40 minutes, and the uphill climb, while not steep, is a bit tiring. You can take a taxi or electric tricycle from Dawang Village. If you're looking to save money, you can take the bus from Dawang Village to Lixi Village. The schedule is available under the transportation section. After getting off the bus in Lixi Village, ask the locals, who will point you to a small path that leads to the back entrance of a temple, presumably the location of the temple's restaurant. From there, you'll reach the Shanhai Wonderland. It's quite crowded, especially around sunset, when many people snap selfies in front of the large stone tablet at the Shanhai Wonderland.



However, the sea ranch over there is indeed super spectacular, but unfortunately there are too many people and the view is not very good. If you want to enjoy this scenery alone, it is recommended to walk for 5 minutes from Lixi Village to Qianmo Inn, which will be introduced later. It is very delicious and quite quiet.

The Mountain and Sea Wonders Monument is actually just a few words written on a huge stone. It is not very interesting and is suitable for taking some tourist photos. However, standing at the location of the Mountain and Sea Wonders Monument overlooking the sea, the scenery is quite nice.

There is nothing else to do except being able to climb high and see far.

There are two locations for sunset viewing on Goji Island: Shanhai Qiguan (mountain and sea wonders) and Xiaoxitian (small western paradise). Our guide explained that Shanhai Qiguan has a mountain as a reference point, so the sunset would be blocked by the peaks. Xiaoxitian, on the other hand, lets you see the sun set directly on the sea level. Both locations offer views of the sea ranch. Ultimately, we decided to go to Shanhai Qiguan, anticipating that the sunset at Xiaoxitian would also be beautiful. It was cloudy that day, and the setting sun was obscured by the clouds, obscuring the vibrant glow of the setting sun. It was a shame.

You must go to the Mountain and Sea Wonders. It was still some time before sunset when we arrived at the Mountain and Sea Wonders, so we looked around. Because the terrain is high, the scenery on the mountain is really good. You can overlook the entire Goji Island from above. The mountains, sea, sky, and beach are connected together, which is beautiful!

It's very cold on the mountain in the evening, so be sure to bring a coat!

Beneath the four characters "Wonderful Spectacles of Mountains and Seas" lies a small inscription that reads, "In the spring of the Gengyin year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty, Governor Hou Jigao commanded General Chen Jiusi of Linguan, and commissioned garrison commander Song Dabin, patrol commanders Zhan Wenwu, and Chen Mengdou to supervise patrols here." These 42 characters, arranged in six lines, measure 30 centimeters high and 26 centimeters wide. Each character is rounded and powerful, with a strong brushstroke. The stone tablet, commanding its height, echoes the surrounding lush greenery and the distant sea pastures. Finally, the sun began to fade, emitting a soft light as it slowly sank into the western horizon.



The distant sky radiated a golden glow, and the nearby harbor, cliffs, and fishing boats formed beautiful silhouettes against the backlight, creating a truly beautiful scene of fishing boats singing at dusk. Although the weather wasn't optimal, the scene before us was enough to comfort us from the city and provide us with a moment of tranquility.

It’s a bit tiring to climb to the top of the mountain, but it’s worth it. There’s a small path behind the stone tablet of the wonders of mountains and seas, overlooking the Goji Island to the west. It’s very beautiful at sunset!

The most recommended place on Goji Island is the blue sea and blue sky. Highly recommended.

These inscriptions, written with impressive force and force, were written by Hou Jigao, the general commander of the Zhejiang Province, in 1590. Enchanted by the spectacular scenery of lush green peaks, mist-spouting reefs, snow-capped waves, and the merging sea and sky, the inscriptions were written with great joy. The inscriptions are over 390 years old.

Standing in front of the boulder and gazing out into the distance, one can take in the azure sea, blue sky, offshore pastures, and golden beaches. Islands and reefs, both near and far, rise high against the vast azure sea and sky, swirling with clouds and mist, giving visitors the feeling of being transported to a fairyland.

The 10,000-acre mussel farm is truly spectacular. It was raining when we arrived at Goji Island, so we thought we'd have no chance. But, God was kind enough, the sun came out around 3:00 PM, and we even got to see the sunset! It was beautiful!

You can directly overlook the two beaches on the island, which is a scenery that can make you empty your mind quickly. It takes no more than 20 minutes to walk up from Dawang Beach.

At the end of the road is a temple, where the wonders of mountains and seas are located. Next to the boulder is the Shanhai Pavilion, where you can take a rest and wait for the sunset.



Unfortunately, it was very cold up there, and after sitting there for half an hour, Mr. A said he was very cold and wanted to go back quickly. But the sun was still out.

I personally think that the scenic spot should be closed for construction. It is too dangerous now. Although the scenic spot is average, you can overlook the whole island from above. Photography enthusiasts will definitely like it.

After returning to our classmate's hotel, showering and eating, around 5:30, we set out for the Shanhai Wonderland. Since it's located high up, it should be a great place to watch the sunset. However, we discovered the mountain in front of us blocked the sun, so we couldn't see the sunset over the sea, which was a shame. The sunset was still beautiful, especially with two short rainbows on either side of the sun, which looked quite magical.

After getting up and packing up, Xiaosi went to the first attraction - the Mountain and Sea Wonders, where you can overlook the beautiful scenery of the entire island.

Under the guidance of our tour guide, Brother Ding, we went up the mountain from a small path. There were many plants along the way, which was very beautiful.
