The Lotus Peak Cloud Sea Scenic Area is located on Lotus Peak in Jiuhua Mountain, the highest peak in the Jiuhua Mountains. It is named for the spectacular scenery of clouds and mist that perpetually shroud the peak year-round. Because its shape resembles a pen holder, one of the Four Treasures of the Study, it is also known as "Pen Holder Mountain." The scenic area currently covers 400 mu, with 1,000 mu protected. Lotus Peak Cloud Sea is a key attraction in the Jiuhua Mountain Back Mountain Tourism Belt.
