The Wuwei County Martyrs' Cemetery is located southwest of Wucheng Xiuxi Park in Wuwei County. Upon entering the cemetery, you'll be greeted by a 2,500- square-meter square. In its center stands a majestic monument to revolutionary martyrs. The front is inscribed with Chairman Mao's handwritten words: " Long Live the Martyrs Who Died in the Revolution. " The back bears the handwritten words " The People's Heroes Will Live Forever " by Zhang Kaifan, former Chairman of the Provincial CPPCC . The monument is surrounded by a 650- square-meter lawn.
To the south of the cemetery lie the remains of revolutionary martyrs such as Lü Huisheng, former director of the Wanjiang Administrative Office, and Hu Zhubing, dubbed a " Bolshevik outside the Party " by the Communist Party. To the west of the cemetery is the Revolutionary Martyrs' Deeds Exhibition Hall, which covers 315 square meters and has a 180- square-meter building area , housing three rooms and two halls.
Zhang Kaifan, former chairman of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, personally inscribed the " Revolutionary Martyrs' Deeds Exhibition Hall . " The hall displays the " Roll of Honor of Wuwei County Revolutionary Martyrs ," as well as portraits and revolutionary deeds of fifty famous martyrs from the Agrarian Revolution to the period of socialist construction.
