Introducing Linhuaigang Scenic Area

The Linhuaigang Scenic Area, located on the Huai River, is centered around the Linhuaigang Flood Control Project (Linhuaigang Water Conservancy Project), currently the largest water conservancy project on the Huai River. Visitors primarily visit the dams on the Huai River, similar to the Three Gorges Dam and the Xiaolangdi Dam on the Yellow River. The Linhuaigang Main Dam, South Auxiliary Dam, and North Auxiliary Dam total 76.51 kilometers. Visiting all three is both too long and insignificant; simply visiting the main dam is sufficient.

The main dam features five large structures: the Chengxihu Ship Lock, the Linhuaigang Ship Lock, the 12-hole deep-hole lock, the 49-hole shallow-hole lock, and the 14-hole Jiangtanghu flood gate. These structures are arranged in a majestic and imposing manner. At the north end of the main dam, on the north bank of the Huai River, there's a monument square where you can take photos with the large stone inscribed "Huaihe River Control Monument" in its center. You can also visit the Huaihe River Control Museum to learn about the Huaihe River system and the construction of the Linhuaigang Dam. Walking along the Huaihe River, you'll discover wetlands along the banks, where ducks swim and cattle graze not far from the dam, creating a breathtaking natural landscape.

In addition, you can overlook the Huaihe River from the Farmers' Park in the scenic area, buy wicker handicrafts at the wicker market, and the Pastoral Resort provides farm meals and accommodation.
