The Wanxi Martyrs Cemetery is located on the banks of Jiudun Pond, west of Renmin Road, on Jiefang Road in the heart of Lu'an City. It boasts convenient transportation, a dense population, and a thriving commercial sector. The cemetery covers 208 mu (168 mu land and 40 mu water), surrounded on three sides by water and offering beautiful scenery.

In December 2016, the Wanxi Martyrs Cemetery was included in the "National List of Red Tourism Attractions and Scenic Spots".

The cemetery consists of a memorial area and a viewing area. Lush trees and vibrant flowers create an elegant and picturesque setting. The Martyrs' Memorial Tower, built in 1957, rests on a 900-square-meter platform with three layers of carved concrete railings. The tower, 3.2 meters wide, sits on a square pyramidal structure of reinforced concrete, standing 18 meters tall. The front of the tower originally bore the inscription of Xie Juezai: "He was a pioneer in the people's revolutionary cause, whose heroic spirit will live forever between heaven and earth." This inscription was later replaced with Mao Zedong's handwriting: "The people's heroes will live forever." The other three sides are engraved with inscriptions chronicling the revolutionary struggles of western Anhui. A red star is affixed to the top of the tower. Other memorial structures within the cemetery include a Martyrs' Pavilion and an exhibition room showcasing the martyrs' deeds.
