Pingshan Zheng Chenggong Park, located east of Quanzhou's Old Town, stands at an altitude of 130.8 meters and covers an area of over 500 mu. Its core attraction is the "Zheng Chenggong Main Statue." This bronze statue of Zheng Chenggong stands majestically atop Daping Mountain. The park, centered around the equestrian statue, also includes the city entrance landscape area to the west, the south entrance landscape area, and the back mountain ecological landscape area to the north. It is a premier destination for sightseeing, leisure, exercise, and entertainment.
The vegetation on the mountain is composed of evergreen broad-leaved forests, coniferous forests, mixed forests, and shrubs. There are many towering ancient banyan trees on the mountain, which are lush and magnificent. From a bird's eye view, there is an Islamic tomb nearby. The park is mainly centered around the main sculpture of Zheng Chenggong and is a great place for leisure hiking.
With a subtropical monsoon climate, Daping Mountain is rich in natural landscapes, the most notable of which is the Ecological Forest Park. At the southern foot of Daping Mountain lies a lush natural subtropical forest, making it a suitable place for travel in all seasons.
The scenic area uses imported logs, local stones and blue bricks as the main building materials. It follows the terrain and, without damaging the original vegetation and landscape, integrates wooden plank roads, ice crack roads, platforms, antique city walls, waterfalls and inscriptions with the equestrian statue of Zheng Chenggong, creating a very fresh, natural and mountain-like feeling!
