Ziguo Temple is a thousand-year-old temple in eastern Fujian and one of the original six major temples in Fuding City. It now covers an area of over 1,000 mu (approximately 1,000 mu) and has nearly 200 resident monks. Located on Lianfeng Mountain, five kilometers from the southeastern suburbs of Fuding City, it was built in the first year of the Tang Xiantong era (860). The temple was built by the brothers Ye Pang and Guanzhuang of the Tang Dynasty, who donated all the surrounding mountain fields. It was rebuilt by the founder Daquan of the Song Dynasty. According to legend, it had nine wells and thirteen mounds, marking its heyday. The Dharma Hall was rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty, and in the mid-Ming Dynasty, a branch of the Xia family from Yutang in this county donated 100 taels of white gold to help build the Main Hall. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the Patriarch's Hall was rebuilt. In the sixteenth year of the Guangxu era (1890), the Jialan Hall was built.
