Introducing Zhouzhuang South Lake

Located south of Zhouzhuang Town, Zhouzhuang South Lake, commonly known as Nanbaidang, is one-third of its area belonging to Zhouzhuang, with the remainder belonging to Wujiang City. The newly constructed Nanhu Park, built to capitalize on the lake's natural beauty and historical sites, is centered around Quanfu Temple and is known as the "Buddhist Kingdom in the Water."

Nanhu Lake, covering over 50 mu (approximately 1,000 acres), is divided into four scenic areas: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. The Spring and Summer areas, centered around a lotus pond, are surrounded by buildings such as the Lake Viewing Tower, the Lake Center Pavilion, and the Nine-Curve Bridge. Stone boats also crisscross the water, creating a tranquil and elegant classical garden scene. After a short rest on a stone bench in the Nine-Curve Corridor, we headed to the Autumn and Winter areas. The Autumn area, encompassing halls, pavilions, shrines, and rockery, is a complex of Buddhist buildings centered around Quanfu Temple, nestled among lush trees and rockery. This area possesses a strong religious atmosphere, attracting countless devout believers and worshippers. Nanhu Lake is nicknamed the "Buddhist Kingdom in the Water" because of Quanfu Temple.
