Guanqian Street is located in Gusu District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It starts from Lindun Road (Cufang Bridge) in the east and ends at Renmin Road (Chayuanchang) in the west. It is adjacent to the Pingjiang Road Historical and Cultural District in the east, Suzhou Park in the south, Suzhou City God Temple in the west, and Suzhou Railway Station and Beisi Pagoda Baoen Temple in the north. The main street is 780 meters long and is named after the ancient temple Xuanmiaoguan. It has a history of more than 150 years.

Guanqian Street, embracing the principle of "complementarity between Confucianism and Taoism," is centered around Xuanmiao Temple. A vendor market has been added to the east side of Gong Lane, corresponding to Beiju Square, complementing the square, creating a three-point symmetrical layout. Guanqian Street comprises six functional zones, each with one or two core facilities, such as shopping malls, serving as the "core," and a series of supporting facilities, such as specialty shops, serving as the "wings," creating a "core-led" layout.

The modern shopping area stretches from Renmin Road intersection to the west side of Beiju, centered around Renmin Shopping Mall and flanked by other specialty shops. The cultural and entertainment area, centered around Beiju Square, is surrounded by four cinemas and bookstores, along with Western-style restaurants and other amenities. The local snack area, east of Beiju and in front of Xuanmiao Temple, features a food court and a small square offering a variety of local snacks. The arts and crafts rest area is themed around Xuanmiao Temple, with the East and West Markets primarily selling local arts and crafts. The comprehensive market area, centered around Gongxiang Street, is centered around a street vendor market. The local specialty goods area stretches from the east side of Xuanmiao Temple to Cufang Bridge, combining time-honored shops with a comprehensive shopping mall. In August 2018, Guanqian Street was selected as one of Jiangsu Province's first blocks designated as time-honored brand hotspots.
