Introducing Tielingguan

Tielingguan, also known as Fengqiao Enemy Tower, is located at Fengqiao outside Changmen Gate. It was built in the 36th year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty ( 1557 AD ) and is the only relatively well-preserved anti-Japanese enemy tower in Suzhou.

Only the Tieling Pass remains. Originally built with " a stone base at the bottom, three layers in the middle, covered with tiles, and with multiple holes on the sides , " Tieling Pass, along with the ancient Grand Canal and Fengqiao in front of it, formed a complete defense system, serving as a crucial pass guarding the west of Suzhou City.
