Introducing Tang Shaofu Baigong Temple

Bai Gong Temple, also known as the Bai Juyi Memorial Garden, is located in a replica of an ancient courtyard at the intersection of Shantang Street. To commemorate his contributions to the construction of Shantang and the digging of Shantang River, the people of Suzhou built the Bai Gong Temple. It was later destroyed during the Taiping Rebellion, and the current Bai Gong Temple was rebuilt in 2006 .

A stone statue of Bai Juyi stands in the middle of the entrance hall. On one side is the Shantang Qingfeng Corridor. The bluestone stele is engraved with pictures of sixteen predecessors who were related to Suzhou, Changmen and Shantang. The stele is in black with white drawings, and the characters are lifelike.

Inside the ancestral hall, paintings depict Bai Juyi's time in Suzhou and his contributions to the people. Behind a bust of Bai Juyi, standing in the center of a marble table, a large, exquisite work of art titled " Bai Juyi Repairs a Mountain Pond for the People " draws many visitors.
