Tianping Mountain Villa is located at the southeastern foot of Tianping Mountain, 8.5 kilometers west of the city. It was designated a Suzhou Municipal Cultural Relic Protection Site in 1982 and a Jiangsu Provincial Cultural Relic Protection Site in 1995. The villa primarily comprises five parts: the Jubo Temple, the Laiyan Pavilion, the Fan Canyi Shrine, the Gaoyi Garden, and the Baiyun Ancient Temple. Other ancillary buildings include the Gaoyi Garden stone archway, the Jiejia Pavilion, the Imperial Stele Pavilion, the Shijingtang Pond, the Wanzhuan Bridge, and the ancient maple forest, covering a total area of ​​approximately 53,000 square meters.

Tianping Mountain Villa was built by Fan Yunlin, the 17th-generation grandson of Fan Zhongyan. During the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty, Fan Yunlin resigned from his position as a councilor in Fujian and returned to his hometown of Suzhou. He built a villa near his ancestral tomb on Tianping Mountain. The villa, nestled against the mountainside, features corridors, a spring, and stone bridges connecting the ponds. The pavilions and waterside pavilions were a dazzling sight. The various buildings, adapted to the local conditions, are staggered in height and density. The pavilions and terraces blend seamlessly with the lush mountains, clear waters, and ancient maple trees, creating a harmonious harmony between the cultural heritage and the natural beauty.
