Shuangfeng Temple

According to historical records, Shuangfeng Town's name originates from Shuangfeng Temple. Built over 1,600 years ago during the Jin Dynasty, Shuangfeng Temple is said to have been discovered by monk Zhidun during the Eastern Jin Dynasty while digging for the temple. The two stone turtles then transformed into two phoenixes and flew away, hence the temple's name. Shuangfeng Temple is located on the outskirts of Taicang City, nestled within a ribbon-like river. The Jade Belt Bridge spans the river at the entrance, and upon looking up, one can see the memorial archway dedicated to the Buddha.

Restoration Site

Known as the "Roots of Taicang," the Weixin Ruins fill a gap in Taicang's original culture. The discovery of Liangzhu and Maqiao cultures at the site extends Taicang's documented history back approximately 4,500 years. The Weixin Ruins conservation project covers over 15,000 square meters, including a 630-square-meter exhibition hall.

Shuangfeng Dragon and Lion Exhibition Hall

Located on Shuangfeng Yipintang Food Street, this is Taicang's only dragon and lion dance exhibition hall. It displays nearly 100 dragon and lion dance products of various colors and sizes, including lanterns, lions, and dragon heads. The exhibition hall also showcases the historical origins and evolution of Shuangfeng dragon and lion culture through images and text.
