The Yin Shoushi Art Museum is located in the heart of Yixing City, bordered by the vast expanse of the West Lake to the west, the Municipal Sports Park to the south, and the bustling commercial district to the east, offering convenient transportation. Mr. Yin Shoushi was a calligrapher and painter with deep patriotic ideas who grew up in the flames of the Anti-Japanese War. He created a large number of artistic masterpieces throughout his life, worked hard for the literary and artistic undertakings of New China, and made indelible contributions.

Throughout his life, Yin Shoushi adored his country and his people, and was devoted to the Party's literary and artistic endeavors. He maintained close ties with his hometown, consistently caring deeply about its development and cultural heritage. In 1992, he donated his lifelong masterpieces and his collection of famous paintings and art treasures to his hometown. To preserve these precious works, his hometown built the Yin Shoushi Art Museum. On April 14, 1999, the first anniversary of Yin Shoushi's death, the Yin Shoushi Art Museum relocated from his hometown, Zhoutie Town, to the Yixing Art Museum to better preserve and fully utilize the precious legacy he left behind. The new museum permanently displays more than 500 pieces of Mr. Yin Shoushi's life story, calligraphy and painting works, as well as calligraphy and painting by celebrities and cultural relics from past dynasties donated by Mr. Yin. These include representative works created by Yin Shoushi in various periods since 1941, handwritings of more than 60 famous artists such as Lin Zexu, Zhu Yizun, Kang Youwei, Zhang Taiyan, Huang Binhong, Xu Beihong, He Xiangning, Huang Yanpei, and Liu Yazi, as well as various cultural relics since the Neolithic Age.

The name of the Yin Shoushi Art Museum was written by the famous person Zhao Puchu.

The halls are equipped with three large vertical air conditioners, CK alarm systems, and security doors, among other security features. Ventilation, lighting, and exhibition facilities are all state-of-the-art. The north and south halls showcase a total of 153 works of calligraphy and painting, as well as 115 cultural relics from various periods. The third floor houses the storage area and Yin's study, spanning over 300 square meters and equipped with modern anti-theft and dehumidification facilities.
