Located southeast of Yixing City on the shores of Taihu Lake, Lanshan Tourist Resort is renowned for its abundant orchids and the legend of Zhou Chu's slaying of a dragon in the Jin Dynasty. Developed into the Taihu Tourist Resort in 1983, it now houses the Heilongjiang Land Reclamation Sanatorium, the National Meteorological Administration Taihu Sanatorium, and the Qinghai Petroleum Administration Taihu Sanatorium, totaling over 600 beds.
