Shaoshi Mountain, also known as Jishi Mountain, is located northwest of present-day Dengfeng City, Henan Province. Its 36 steep peaks, dotted with unique peaks and scenic views, make it a key scenic spot in Songshan Forest Park. Shaoshi Mountain faces Taishi Mountain to the east, approximately 10 kilometers away.
Climbing Shaoshi Mountain requires climbing up and down a meter-wide crack in the cliff face, climbing iron rings and hauling steel wires. The southern face of Shaoshi Mountain resembles the Zhongjing crown worn by ancient people, earning it the Song Dynasty name "Crown Mountain."
The mountain is steep and rugged, with 36 peaks. The peaks rise and fall like flags in a circle or swords in a row, which is quite spectacular. Some rise from the ground, some stretch out in a long winding way, some crouch like tigers, some dance like lions, some sleep like dragons, and some crawl like turtles. The peaks are jagged and the canyons are crisscrossed, which is quite spectacular.
