Longmen Oceanarium is located on the west side of Longmen Avenue in Luoyang, the thousand-year-old imperial capital. It is one of the largest ocean museums in China. It is a large ocean park that mainly displays the earth's ecology and rare marine life, and combines viewing, participation, fun, knowledge and entertainment.
The museum, covering over 10,000 square meters, features nine themed exhibition areas: Amphibians and Reptiles, Rainforest Wonders, Wetland Ecology, Mangrove Ecology, Intimate Encounter, Coral Reef Ecology, Deep Sea Ecology (Submarine Tunnel), Sea Lion Performance Hall, and Ocean Theater. It also includes two auxiliary areas: the Seaview Restaurant and the Ocean Mall. Over 300 species of freshwater and marine life, representing over 30,000 individuals, are on display.
Here you can see sharks, turtles, starfish, anemones, corals, angelfish, stonefish, triggerfish, clownfish, dogfish, lionfish, and more, as you would see in a typical aquarium. You can also enjoy classic performances such as human-shark dances, a fight for food among thousands of fish, the legend of the "mermaid," underwater magic, and Spider-Man's underwater treasure hunt.
