Neixiang County Government Office is primarily an administrative site, so visits are mostly for official purposes or educational interest in local governance and architecture. Visitors can observe the government complex, understand local administration, and appreciate the building's design and surroundings.

Neixiang County Yamen, located at the foot of Baotianman Mountain, is China's only well-preserved county-level government office from the feudal period . Spanning over 700 years from the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties , it is known as " the best yamen in the world . " For its unique historical and cultural value, it has been hailed by experts as a " unique historical specimen in China . "
The Neixiang County Yamen shares the architectural principles of the Forbidden City, with a north-facing, south-facing layout, a symmetrical central axis, a central hall, yamen in front, residences in the back, and the civil and military functions on the left and right . It is known as " the dragon's head is in Beijing, and its tail is in Neixiang . " The Neixiang County Yamen boasts a rigorous and imposing layout, with the main buildings arranged along the central axis: the screen wall, Xuanhua Square, main gate, lobby, second hall, reception hall, and third hall.
Between the ceremonial gate and the main hall, the six departments of the county yamen, namely, the Li, Rites, Household, Criminal Justice, Military, and Engineering, are symmetrically arranged on either side of the central axis. These departments assisted the county magistrate in handling affairs. The yamen's layout is symmetrical, with a clear distinction between primary and secondary, and its heights are staggered in an orderly and integrated manner. The architectural style blends the north and south of the Yangtze River, making it the most intact county yamen in China.
